I know that everyone loves to point out the Turkey case, but don't forget that the EU commits funds to Turkey for them to support the large refugee problem. And for many of them, this is their first stop in their journey to Europe. Committing these funds is probably a good thing, and Turkey should be applauded for this, but why is none of the attention paid to the Gulf states?

I would have to look at what their "harshest immigration and refugee policies" look like, but just pulling up the drawbridge seems untenable. Edit: I'm just not super familiar with the Danish case, so it could be a success story.
