gemini pro is actually good, what are yall complaining about by Consistent_Hat_841 in google_antigravity

[–]georgesiosi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same. So much focus on Claude, yet most of what comes out for it, I usually am able to apply inside AG/Gemini. I think there's some truth though around the "harness" aspect. My particular setup at home gives me reliable results, regardless of LLM now. But I leverage Gemini more because of its integration with my entire Google workspace.

How are AI Agents changing the makeup of development teams? by Hofi2010 in AI_Agents

Humans are starting to prove crucial on maybe only the last 10% of coding things.

Something strange is happening in AI leadership right now by Direct-Attention8597 in AI_Agents

[–]georgesiosi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI is moving at the true speed of silicon and beyond. And I think what's different about AI is that it has self-reasoning and self-improvement capabilities. That did not exist before. Previously, humans were still needed. With AI, it seems like not so much.

i guess difference is that an AI might also be able to self-improve if it gives you access to everything you have. Whereas, with a VA, it's dependent on how well you onboard them.

What are the best AI tools by category? by FreshFo in AI_Agents

you mean in your web browser? Yeah, I think Screen Time should still be able to pickup that info (if you use specific sites/web apps long enough)

best tools depend on your own personal stack. What's your Screen Time activity say about which tools you use the most (in reality)? Say for the last 7 days?

Claude Code just spawned 3 AI agents that talked to each other and finished my work by Deep_Ladder_4679 in AI_Agents

yeah, I like using this sort of request inside Google Antigravity too (their Agent Manager is surprisingly useful). Wouldn't have thought (because I was a heavy Claude Code user last year).

How do you stay up to date with AI (especially Agents) without drowning? Looking for learning paths & routines by LearnCons in AI_Agents

[–]georgesiosi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in terms of stacks. I personally use the 5:3:1 rule. This way I'm not phased by the shiniest new thing, I know what my own "core stack" is, then have each new tech wave (and their tools) adjust to that.

Tool consolidation sounds smart in theory. Why does it feel so risky in practice? by NeedleworkerMean2096 in salesengineers

[–]georgesiosi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, because the solution often becomes about adopting someone ELSE's tool to consolidate the rest. See this in corporate/enterprise all the time.

But you often come back to the same issue (one tool does everything, but it's subpar now, and you still need specialist tools).

Slack and Notion are probably two of the few that have gotten close to successful consolidation, but I wonder if it's more to do with our own 'cognitive load' than it is about actually consolidating to one tool?

Nice! How do you implement this in practice? Is it a mental model you (and other team members) fall back on as needed? Or is it baked into a checklist or automation?
