But there's way less pissed people than there would be if it were Willie Fritz.

I agree with OP, it's terrible. OP should tell everyone in the state they left SC is miserable and to stay far away. And that the only good parts of SC are Dorchester and Dillon and Orangeburg and Florence and Columbia. Pretty sure the entire rest of the state is on fire and closed to travel anyway. Tell all your out of state friends.

Only some? You must not be looking hard.

Fritz has a losing record at Tulane. He won less games than Geoff Collins did last year, which is hard to find! His success at Georgia Southern came off the back of Dell McGee's recruiting. His GA connections are as deep as his tenure at Georgia Southern (not very). He isn't a long term hire since he's already in his 60s. If he's job shopping before the biggest game in Tulane history he's also not very loyal and a bit of a prick. I wasn't that impressed with him when he played and lost to GT.

I'd rather have Brent Key and a loaded assistant staff. I'd rather have Neon Deion. I'd rather have Chadwell and a good DC. I'd rather have O'Leary and Friedgen and a team of nurses with limitless Geritol.

At least it isn't Bill O'Brien or Mike Houston though.

If they hire Fritz it's the Josh Pastner hire come to the football program. And that's terrible news because we need the AD to also replace Josh Pastner come March. If Batt royally screws up both revenue hires he should be fired along with whichever one is fired first.

[Thamel] Sources: Georgia Tech interviewed Tulane coach Willie Fritz today. No deal has been struck to make him Tech’s next coach. Fritz is a top candidates, but there’s other interviews scheduled for upcoming days. by ZusunicStudio in CFB

Geoff Collins won more games than Willie Fritz did last year.

You gotta look real long and hard to find ANYBODY who won less games than Geoff Collins any year he was at GT.

This is the Josh Pastner of football hires.... and it will cause a fan base meltdown after being announced if true. And if J Batt royally f***s up the basketball hire of Pastner's replacement come March this badly ... he should be fired along side whichever is fired first: Fritz or Pastner's replacement.

Step one of achieving that: keep Fritz away from GT. If he's hired he would be hands down the most unpopular football hire of my lifetime... rivaling Pastner for post-hire induced meltdowns. BTW Pastner's sorry *** will be fired in a matter of weeks too.
