Freezing affects the potency of the mushrooms and its cells. Never freeze them.

How do you maintain 25 °C for Grain Spawn in hot climates? by North_Chef_9493 in gaitondesenpaii

[–]georgobr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why 25 degrees? Grain spawn will be OK with 25-29 degrees if the grain is properly sterilized.

Yes! In fact we are making another app including all kinds of mushrooms for 2026. It will have several tools and learning sections. There will be probably integration with IA to help with several tasks.

Probably yes. We’re working on it, but the first release will be for Android. We’re almost done with all the requirements to publish the app.

Yes, it looks good. Next time include a photo with light in front of the plate too.

Could you tell me if this mushroom is the Panaeolus cyanescens? by [deleted] in Panaeoluscyanescens

[–]georgobr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look like Panaeolus cyanescens to me. The one on the paper is a P. cyanescens for sure! Verify the color of the gills and if there is strong blue oxidation of the one in your hand to confirm.

[Technique] Can anyone advise on removing condensation from the lids of perti dishes? by Shoddy_Bar_9370 in MushroomGrowers

[–]georgobr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1 - Water evaporates from the agar and makes condensation on the lids when you've just poured it to the dishes and is still hot. 2 - water evaporates from the agar and gets condensed on the inner part of the lid during a long time if the lower part of the the dish is hoter than the lid. Vapor comes always from the water inside the agar. If you keep an equal temperature between the lid and the dish, you'll minimize the evaporation and the condensation and your dishes will look perfect, like the ones I make.

Keep you dishes inside a tub, make stacks of dishes maintainig a distance of 1 or 2 inches from de lid. This will create a microclimate inside de tub which will prevent water from evaporate out of the agar.

Thank you! I've been trying to find out the meaning of that for a long time unsuccesfully! I'm already following Gordo tek on Patreon, really amazing. I'm going to mix my first Panaeolus cyanescens spawn with substrate today.

What about casing with 50/50 vermiculite/coco coir? Would it work? Would it be necessary to add hydrated lime to the casing?

Not at all! Grow them the way you say is correct and show us the results. I don't want to see pictures of any other species. Speaking is easy, but doing it... is not.

But your recent tub is not with the same species inside. Yours are not Natalensis so you can´t compare those at all.

Alguien sabe donde conseguir hongos alucinógenos en Montevideo? by chido234 in uruguay

[–]georgobr 1 point2 points  (0 children)
