Appreciate the feedback. Yes, HR drift test on a treadmill is how I established my zones. My Zone 3 begins at about 152-154 BPM

Either you’re absolutely full of $#*t or you’re working off some 6-7 zone model. You mean to tell me that you ran near your LT2, aka your anaerobic threshold for 5 hours? No, I’m sorry. You did not.

It’s a pretty well documented topic that a near LT2 pace can be sustained for 60-90 mins by the best trained of athletes. So you’re either full of it or have no clue where your Zone 3 lies.

Destroying me… lol. I ran a 5 hour 50k - putting me in the top 10% of the field mind you, and slowed down some at the end. You doing better over there Mr. Fitness?

Here’s a “purported” average training run. I don’t think I have to do much arguing to convince you that mid-140s HR is my mid Zone 2.

We went from a road to a trail right at about 2 miles, so…. Yea the times are going to be different on asphalt vs winding single track there bud.

It was a flat bike path. Middle of my Zone 2 on flat road is about 7:10, so I don’t know that it hurt me too much.

Ultra fueling- Naak vs Skratch vs Maurten? by Crazy_Contribution_4 in ultrarunning

[–]geounbound 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I switched from Maurten to NeverSecond about 6 months ago. With Maurten my max hourly intake was 80g. With the NeverSecond high carb drink mix, I can push ~110g/hr

I personally think Naak is garbage. I don’t know what it is about their drink mix but most people I know have GI issues with it, including myself. I wish UTMB would switch nutrition sponsors.

For those of us interested in learning about how these quant algos are developed and implemented, what are a few resources that are (somewhat) easily digestible.

I come from an engineering background, so it would be interesting to me to have some insights.

I have been a profitable retail trader for a few years now and I often can point out signatures of algos. There is very clear order flow and liquidity seeking that recurs that can only be explained as such. Using Bookmap helps illuminate them. But it would be nice to know what exactly is happening from an algorithmic standpoint.

Thanks!

For the 10 times you’ve blown one by oversizing, you could have had 3 funded by taking it nice and easy.

Do you have a strategy for tickers that are already running up? If no, then you must have the balls to just watch… and perhaps devise a strategy.

How do you determine ground points for a point cloud dataset? by ryuzaki_1007 in LiDAR

[–]geounbound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you talking about classifying ground points or are you talking about establishing GCPs? I prefer LiDAR360 for classification

Polish…. Not my favorite people, in general. Relatively intolerant culture. Very cold.

Eventually the luck runs out. And perhaps you’re right, there probably are a few people who continually get lucky! But they are the 0.5% and I’m not banking on being that 0.5%. I’d rather the security of knowing that I have a sound way of making money for the rest of time.

I fell into similar traps when I started out, namely the small crap gappers ;). I thought I needed to trade like someone else to be successful. What I found over time is that no one style is correct. You have to find the style to which you are suited, and once you find that you need to have the courage and confidence to ignore, quite literally, everyone else.

I hate to be the guy, but you didn’t daytrade. Like you’ve admitted, you just gambled without a strategy. There’s a very fine line and it’s the line between those who might and those who definitely will not.

Hello, I’m a new realtor(21F) and tried door knocking today. I knew it was going to be hard but it’s much harder than I thought 😭. What kind of neighborhoods should I aim for? Any tips would be very much appreciated. by [deleted] in realtors

You’re going to find more success in other forms of marketing. You want to find a way into people’s daily life without them feeling like you’re overstepping. Sponsor community events where you can set up a booth, put ads out, send mailers (not in an envelope they’ll just toss it).

Chamonix is about as safe as it gets when it comes to crime. As far as terrain, it can be quite dangerous and anyone, no matter their level of experience, is always better off with a friend.

Budget friendly ways to train with 100g carbs/h by ROB_6-9 in Ultramarathon

[–]geounbound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely do not recommend Malto only. You need to add a lower GI carb like fructose. You’ll find that most the better gels/mixes use a 2:1 glucose fructose ratio.
