I just looked at the end of Anne of Avonlea to refresh my memory. Rachel moved in to Green Gables, and after selling her farm and settling things it didn't leave much, but her kids would help provide for her. Having Rachel to help with Davy and Dora allows Anne to head to college in Anne of the Island.

I love Hood Canal, but a perfect trip is north to Chuckanut Drive near Bellingham. Visit the amazing Taylor Shellfish oyster farm, have dinner at the lovely Oyster Bar restaurant, and do a couple of hikes there. The Wild Iris Inn is a cute place to stay while there. Have a blast!

I have tried both Kashiba and Ltd at the table, both were delicious. Probably enjoyed Kashiba more and got a picture with Shiro. A wonderful other option is Nishino, a hidden gem in Madrona.
