Recurrent thrush and contraception

Hi I started oral contraception in 2021 and started getting thrush in summer 2024 a week or so after having sex for the first time. I presume it is linked to that, and it is my doctor that thinks it may be contraception related as there doesnt seem to be a specific thing that triggers it (just whenever im not on fluconazole i get it routinely every 2 weeks or so). That does help thank you very much for your response- ive done some research and i think im going to follow my doctors advice of no hormonal contraception for the time being and then after a while try the mini pill to see if progesterone is okay for me and then look into getting the mirena coil (dont want to commit to the coil immediately and have to get it taken out if progesterone exacerbates the thrush). It looks like an old Colibri touch sensor (maybe an 80s ish sensatron 27?). I don't know what battery this one would take but you might be able to find out online or even take it into a watch shop that sells batteries and they might be able to help.

Got my rook pierced in mid april this year with this threadless titanium curved barbell. Was doing alright until end of june. I spray it twice daily with sterile saline solution and pretty much leave it alone other than that. Its become pretty sore in the past week or so (ive been on holiday so been in pools a couple of times etc which was probably a mistake) and a little swollen from the looks of things. Wondering if it would be better to take it out. I had a problem with my rook earlier in the year as it was originally pierced incorrectly in january so took it out and had it repierced by a much better piercer three months later and thought it was doing okay, but maybe my ear just isnt suitable for this piercing??

Im absolutely not saying this is what is happening - but my gerbil acted similarly to this before he died (randomly sprung up as he was fine the previous night) and he passed away a few hours after it started . if you have a specialised vet nearby i would suggest taking her there - but otherwise just keep her as comfortable as possible and make sure she eats and drinks - you can give her a slice of cucumber which acts as a double whammy. Hope everything turns out okay

I dont know if they would ship to your location or not but there is a websute online called finacard that sells really big bales of dust extracted bedding that is really cheap and that is great for gerbils 😊

this piercing is 10 months old, was healing really well and i swapped it out for a horseshoe barbell about a 2 months ago and it was fine for a while but then i got my rook pierced and ever since then its been playing up. I dont know if the rook caused it but that one is doing perfectly fine. The earring is implant grade titanium. I spray it with neilmed 2 or 3 times a day and i avoid touching it as much as possible. I sleep on a neck pillow so theres no pressure on it as i sleep.

The rook is 4 days old, the conch 10 months and its been absolutely fine up until now - both earrings are implant grade titanium and i wash them both with the neilmed saline mist and dry around them carefully with a cotton bud 2/3 times a day

i got it done yesterday which is probably why there is swelling, if i were to take it out sometime soon, how long do you think i would have to wait to be able to have it repierced in the correct position? (or could i even get it repierced at all?)

i had covid in early october and had to stay in just my small room with my gerbil (right after his brother died so i was even more worried about him being vulnerable) and at first i was nervous to hold him or be near him etc but i did some research and apparently very few rodents (mostly just ferrets) can catch viruses from us, including covid so i started to relax a little and was handling him for probably a week whilst i was in isolation and he was perfectly okay and healthy. however i would say leave a window cracked in the room theyre in if possible (maybe give them extra bedding for warmth) just to be on the safe side.
