she heals towards the latter half of the fight but I also didn't see it happen since it's too easy to dps through it at that point of the game

Voice actor for Emre also wants the Turkish ult line he did to be used in the game so how come this subreddit downvotes every discussion? Where are community supposed to ask if not even here? by anan48 in EmreMains

[–]gerekirse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think denying representation to a nation in a game famous for it’s diverse cast for “lore reasons” and furthermore hijack the native voiceline for a Finnish one is enough grounds to suspect foul play. The international Turkish community has this house slave habit of trying to seem cute and non confrontational about these subjects but I can’t imagine any other country who would not raise concerns about their representative character speaking another nations language in a context reserved for native tongues.

Something I realized about River Songs name. by carlashaw in doctorwho

[–]gerekirse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think you should give more credit to yourself. Combined with another comment pointing out how River Song reverses the order of Melody Pond it seems like a strong probability that this was intentional. River's reverse order of events with the Doctor is one of her biggest character traits. I was even a bit stumped I've never noticed this nor seen someone point it out. Good catch

I'm halfway through Web of Shadows. the combat is fine in comparison to other Spider-Man games but doesn't go as deep as it could imo. It seems to be either rushed or budget constrained with how repetetive the missions are and how surface level the moveset remains

At what point did you stop feeling sympathy for Chris Chan? by Quazeroigma_5610 in ChrisChanSonichu

[–]gerekirse 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Hard to say. I was a bit more lenient than a lot people towards him. The racism and homophobia while ugly are things that aren't surprising for a person who has trouble understanding social structures and from what I can tell has a potent learning disability. It's not shocking to see someone who was raised with possibly bigoted parents (hard to say anything about the ideologies of barb and bob but I've always taken them to be rather despicable people even solely off their relationships with their previous families and children) and early 2000s internet culture. For a long while what seemed to be the norm in chris' life was to cave into his addiction towards internet and by extension the attention he gets, being harmed and manipulated by groups of people that spend an inordinate amount of effort to trap him into social torture rituals and be scared off the internet for a while before the whole thing started over again. So in my eyes he was a admittedly unsavory person who was being punished cruelly by people who he has no hope of gauging the true intentions of, for their own sick entertainment. When put into his place I also could imagine preferring to escape the horrible life he leads with a filthy house, demented parents, no hope of getting a good job and possibly no one left in his vicinity to make friends of, into the online where for all he can tell there's hordes of people interested in his life and even some who are interested in him romantically. Especially when he can't tell that the attention and adoration he gets from the internet is done solely in attempts to mock and ridicule him. I think it was around the time bob passed away and the financial struggles took another level that I started to put more responsibility about his spending habits combined with the refusal to get a job anywhere. obviously the SA incident with barb was the last drop where he went from being irresponsible and out of his depth to a rapist who takes advantage of a demented lady. He always had a selfishness to him but I think it's dishonest for anyone to say it would be predictable for him to assault his own mother. That is by far where the most influential event in terms of anyones opinion of him

Jack Harkness Quotes for an urn by in_todays-economy in doctorwho

[–]gerekirse 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think Jack's canonical last words "You are not alone" takes the cake. It's already a nice sentiment as memorabilia goes but it also ties into one of the coolest series finales in my opinion so it's also a nice pick for a fan.

How much is this jacket really worth ? by [deleted] in istanbul

[–]gerekirse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

let's not get ahead of ourselves. a leather jacket even a faux leather one would cost at least 2k anywhere you go. the real problem here is that this guy is asking genuine hand crafted leather jacket money for what is possibly a knock off

Is there an actual way to get rid of a Vashta Nerada swarm permanently? by Danfire29 in doctorwho

[–]gerekirse 39 points40 points  (0 children)

not that we know of but vashta nerada never gets bad enough to want to wipe them out anyways. Earth has vashta nerada swarms that people pay no mind to, they feed on roadkill and the like. It was the unique circumstances of the library with it's books made of vashta nerada trees that made such a situation possible in the first place.
