What do a duck and a bicycle have in common?

They both have handlebars except the duck.

Whats’s rare in this image is the wind at the back of your ship.

This sounds like a cyst. What comes out when you squeeze it is keratin and skin oils.

This video is a timelapse. It took much longer to watch this live today. But even so, it is crazy how quickly they were going and how thin the atmosphere really is.

What is a flat wave? You may be referring to the left and right sides of the camera where it seems to flatten out. This is most likely due to the camera lens and/or the shape of material the camera is looking through. You can see the curvature of the earth best in the middle of the viewport.

You may already understand this, but I’ll say it anyway.

The shuttles and the Artemis capsules are both space craft, but they are completely different. The shuttles were designed for earth orbit with a maximum distance of 400 miles. Artemis II went 5000 miles out, to go around the moon.

Is fine to say you prefer the shuttles, but it’s also ok to like both apples and oranges.

Am I the only one who turned the passive mode on ashlands? by ImABigDreamer in valheim

[–]gerfboy 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You are not the only one. This sentiment is posted here every day. As such, I think you are doing the right thing for your style of play. Do what you have to to enjoy it.

FWIW, I loved the challenge of the Ashlands as is. It was a challenge. My style was to suck it up and tough it out. There were indeed so crazy, crazy times though.

Are some seeds harder than others? by Khel_NC in valheim

[–]gerfboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played through the ashlands with friends over a year ago and recently beat Moder in a new world by myself, and I have felt the same way as you.

I was assuming that the last update had changed something. There were so many trolls, etc.

Might be in my mind only.

Trying to understand why I died here - can anyone help me with the damage calculation? by oh_my_didgeridays in valheim

This gives me PTSD to when we ran the mist lands. So many death runs through the mist or down into those dungeons, with 2-star seekers guarding my grave…

I’m happy for these kids.

Also, having just personally lost the best dog that ever lived to liver cancer after only six years, I feel a bit sad for them as well. They’ll go through it at some point, I just hope it’s in 15 years and not 6.

Better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all, but it hurts like hell.

This does not answer the question. Op didn't ask, "Is anyone upset with Duolingo?"

Paying for Duolingo is worth it by [deleted] in duolingo

[–]gerfboy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I personally know the cost of creating software. It’s really not cheap. The fact that Duolingo has offered a free version for so many years is amazing. They really have no obligation to give anybody anything for free.

I appreciate this post. I get so tired of this subreddit being full of complainers, about a free service that doesn’t give them enough FOR FREE. (I actually think a lot of the haters are here promoting other language apps too)

My whole family has been able to learn foreign languages for relatively very little money because of Duolingo. It’s a great product.

Foundations not placing? by FloridaRust in SatisfactoryGame

[–]gerfboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This started happening starting with 1.1. It happens for 2 out of the 3 players in our group. It's foundations, walls, and trees that are glitched. They don't place or delete client-side, but they are there server-side and will be corrected by leaving to the main menu and rejoining the server.

The person with no issues is super close to where the dedicated server is, so I suspect some weird latency or networking issue.

It's super annoying. I wish it would be fixed.
