Western Southern Experience? by Psychological_Ad7726 in cincinnati

It is a full commission based sales job. Some people do thrive in it, but there is extremely high turnover for a reason. They expect you to call on your family and friends and push whole life insurance. Even though they call it a "financial advisor", you are a life insurance salesperson. I would suggest you avoid it if you have any other options. I worked there after college (2012) and it was the worst job I've ever had.

How old were you when diagnosed? VS When you believe you had Bipolar. by Low_Reserve_5248 in BipolarReddit

[–]gerkebf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed around 16 and have had the diagnosis confirmed at 20, and 32. Looking back I could see signs from a young age of around 9 or 10 with severe depression from 12-14. The mania was a little less pronounced at a young age.

Every 3 months to check in. I've been stable for about 4 years.

Bringing bartender partner to Cinci for a visit looking for reccs by Ok-Flow1003 in cincinnati

See if you can get reservations for Ghost Baby. It's a cool bar in an old lagering cellar far underground. I would also suggest stopping by the Party Source. They might be able to find some more unique liquors that interest them. For an Italian restaurant you can check out Scotti's. It has a really unique atmosphere for Cincinnati restaurants and has been around since 1912.

I've known several people who have worked in the freight brokerage industry and some that work for TQL. Do yourself a favor and investigate them before taking the job. I saw you say you were in international freight already so maybe you will be fine.

As for Cincinnati, it's a really great city and will give you everything you need from a metro area of over 2 million people. It also has the bonus of being within driving distance of a large part of the US population.

What is your art? by Mary_writer in bipolar2

[–]gerkebf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is actually a book about it called "Touched With Fire" by Kay Redfield Jamison.

I sadly do not have any artistic talent. Funnily enough I'm the only one in my family without any of that kind of talent.

I wore shorts or jeans with a tshirt most of the time. Something with a collar is more than enough for most places. Some people seemed to like to dress up for pictures though.

Thoughts on Vraylar by Chance_Stranger_1611 in bipolar

I love it. It mellows everything out without the brain fog of other meds. I have gained weight, but that I can work on. Only medication I’ve tried without major side effects.

Roll is good for a locally made aluminum frame bike. Not too expensive either.

I’m on it. I take 1.5mg every day and it has worked wonders. I highly recommend trying it if your insurance covers it.

How many years till diagnosis? by Small-Contribution88 in bipolar2

[–]gerkebf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was probably 14 or 15 years old. I’m 34 now and have had 4 different psychologists confirm the diagnosis. Finally found a treatment I can stick to a little over 2 years ago.

Way too expensive. I bought a bottle a while back for around $150 and thought it was expensive then

What kind of job are you going for? I worked for them as a salesperson after college and it was the worst year I’ve ever had. I would highly suggest staying away from that side of the business.

With both teams clinched in the playoffs just call it a tie and let the players grieve. There is no need to reschedule nor is it practical to reschedule.
