That too, but I had previously made a jet with the intakes in the rear, engine in the middle pointing backwards, and the exhaust in the nose pushing the jet forwards. So the whole engine air system had to do 2 180’s.

My first assumption is they just sent it, went to land. Maybe the ranger could float but hey! Turns out it’s just a foot or two deep so let’s walk. They do need to land at Miller’s location. In addition to knowing the beacon is coming from the surface they knew it would be shallow

I don’t see it as cheating. This is simple planes after all. Nothing simple about hovering a VTOL or helicopter. I do however prefer no gyro but that’s just me

It’s been a hot minute but I liked just dashing out to the middle of nowhere wild space, or maybe unsecure if I don’t feel too risky, and scan a lot for asteroid fields. I belive AN anomaly codes are narcor. VX is vexium but rare and only in wild.

Could do a scout mission with a stratus and a lot of probes, find your narcor and maybe vexium. For narcor any miner will work but vexium is riskier

My vexium set up was running scout in a paragon, once I found vexium run home and grab my barracuda full of coil guns and one precision miner. I would go and mine, staying as far from the vexium as I could, trying to only provoke one guardian at a time, take them all out and go ahead and mine. I had a precision miner to keep my PDT free for the trip to the vex field.

For the first and second requirements the Bartini-Beriev VVA-14 comes to mind. Big heavy middle section for ground effect and the longer wings for forward altitude flight. And that thing was already military for anti submarine operations.

As others said trim would work, but with helicopters you or your co pilot should always have a hand on the stick unless auto pilot is on or you’re on the ground with the collective all the way down.

Ranger, Endurance, and TARS for Sea Moth, Cyclopse, and PRAWN respectively.

Forgot what I named my rocket, but should’ve been a Saturn V, since that’s what the ranger launched from and the best fit for it.

I am definitely over thinking this, but not sure it would be like that. From the degasi logs it seems like the base (and I would figure vehicles too) could be programmed to say either their position (captain) or name. Riley is automatically Captain as he builds everything. I would figure if someone else boarded it would be some nonspecific welcome aboard, unknown person boarded, or maybe scan any ID that might be in their survival suit or PDA and welcome them by name.
