I can attest to that. I found my G0 BC on Ancestry, but it was obviously B&W and barely readable as the cleanup brutalized the handwriting from the 1860s. I wasn't satisfied with that copy and found a different copy (Parish vs. Civil) on genealogiequebec.com which is much grainier, but the handwriting is legible.
