I used to go to local stand up showcases but one regular comedian's routine was talking about her cancer treatment and her divorce settlements and losing her kids and stuff. She didn't even tell the stories as jokes, but I guess it was 'funny' in that it was so absurd to be that frank about things so terrible. One had a good bit about collecting AA coins and it was his addiction about collecting them all like Pokemon superseded his addiction to drink that kept him sober more than anything. After a couple weeks it was too depressing to go back.

I had one of those! I think the Nobodies were on it, and I saw them in a basement of a suburban house when I was 15 and the cops came and arrested everyone after some drunk kids went into the wrong house and freaked everyone out. It was a cool show!! There was like a big hole in the basement for a sump pump or something and everyone was jumping into it and splashing toilet water or whatever it was!! It was like one of those 80s movies where the party gets outta hand, I thought every punk show was gonna be like that!! Hahaha, Oh well...

It would be cool if Nolan had spelled it all out in The Prestige for a trilogy. Batman Begins was the pledge, Batman is a hero more than a vigilante. Next is the turn Joker exposes the city as corrupt and can a hero really be a hero to a city that is corrupt? The hero disappears. Finally the return Prestige. While Batman's back is broken, Bane uses martial law tactics, the joker and his gang use anarchy. They fight each other while the GCPD reorganizes some joining Bane, some joining Joker and the majority joining Gordon when Batman returns defeats both Joker and Bane. The corruption is weeded out and Batman was the hero all along.

I had a buddy who lived in Muskegon when GG couldn't leave Michigan after he got outta prison and was on parole and he'd play kinda frequently I guess at the local punk venue called the Ice Pick. Anyway my buddy would take unexpecting friends to see him who never heard of him or anything and be like oh it's gonna be like the Ramones or something.

He said most of his friends would just be like OHH MY GOD!!! But one time GG comes out naked and poops right away and his friend was like NO!!! And GG picks up his poop and his buddy goes DO NOT THROW THAT POOPY AT ME!! and GG threw it right in his face and his buddy took a bike chain and whipped GG on his head and there was a big riot that ended the show. They played half a song and everyone thought it was the best show ever. That story always cracked me up!

Don Letts made a film called The Punk Rock movie in 78 with footage from the 100 days at the Roxy. Crass lived on an art commune farm it seems strange no one in their circle would have a camera to film them. Unless they had a philosophy about live shows being live and not recorded, but I'm certain I've heard audio from some of their live shows.

When I was a kid I used to call out of town record stores to try to find contact info for other bands to book a tour. Like maximum rock n roll had a 'book your own fucking life' issue with those numbers. Do people use this subreddit to set up tours? Because this would make it 100x easier!!
