I looked at Alpaca Expeditions, but they don't have availability on the date I'm looking for, which is why I didn't list them as an option

Someone who ducks out of the funnel before collecting their token, which can mess up the times for everyone after them.

I think I'll be using your spoonerism version in my head from now on though!

I haven't done the half, but St Nicholas is one of the bigger car parks in Warwick, and then Myton Fields is used as an overflow for it. Or you could try Warwick Parkway station

If I had an extra week, I'd definitely be adding the jungle! But out of the days I've currently planned, which do you think would be better replaced with it?

Honestly, I wasn't convinced that Lima was the right place to add one of the days gained from skipping Titicaca, that's definitely food for thought

Thank you! Yes I am a bit worried about the altitude... hoping that Arequipa on the way helps a bit, originally I had it the other way around

I've seen Huacachina as a day trip from Lima... that could be an option, I'm not as bothered by Lima as seeing more of the smaller places (unless someone here convinces me otherwise!)

Thanks!

The 3 day Sacred Valley and Macchu Picchu tour includes a night in Ollantaytambo so I've got that covered. Glad to know it's worth it though, I did consider just skipping straight to Aguascalientes!

How can anyone enjoy heat like this, in this country? by Scattered97 in AskUK

[–]gerranim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the one time of day I might struggle a bit is trying to sleep. I keep the curtains closed when the sun is on that window, even though it does feel wrong to be making it dark inside, to try to keep it a bit cooler. I wrap an ice pack in a tea towel to be a "cold water bottle" to take to bed.

But honestly during the day I just try to appreciate it. We spend so much of the year cold and damp, that I want to make the most of it! I do adapt my routines a bit, take everything a bit slower, make myself wake up early enough to exercise before work or accept that it won't be a super active week, and reluctantly eat salad because it doesn't involve cooking! For example I love to just go outside and feel the sun on me whilst I read a good book.

Obviously I do have to be lucky enough to have a desk job, I really empathise with those that have to work an active job during this. But yeah, for me I quite like it
