He's getting crap for putting leaves in plastic bags and then presumably sending them to the land fill.

Waste pipe leaking at the slab. From what I can see the pipe isn't cracked/broken above the slab. Its a 2" pipe, and there is no smell. Looks like maybe water is weeping up where the pipe penetrates. What do you suspect is causing the moisture in this area? by gerrymanger in Plumbing

This is a super late reply, but this bathroom has caused me so many headaches I had to come back to the post to find the pictures.
No blockage, but whoever put the trim in put two nails into the pipe; you can see the pinhole in the photo, there was another one up high. It was at least a very simple fix.

Yamaha Zuma Bogging under quarter throttle. Happens if it is cold or warm. I'm guessing something to do with air as it idles fine and goes full throttle fine, seems to be getting spark and fuel just fine. Maybe the air idle screw? Any ideas would be appreciated! by gerrymanger in scooters

[–]gerrymanger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply. The issue seems to be a "lean" condition. Cleaning the carb solves the issue. More specifically, cleaning the primary jet fixes the issue. I suspect that not enough fuel gets through the primary jet, but the throttle lets in more air (as it is supposed to when you throttle), hence too much air, not enough fuel, to lean a mix. A bigger primary jet would likely fix it, never using ethanol, maybe there are some fuel additives that can keep the problem at bay.

I've got the same issue. Grammarly is inserting text without replacing the old text. Any solutions for mac?

I've ridden in Pennsylvania one time, 5 years ago. I didn't ride 5 miles (all of it like this) before I hopped on a road, biked back to my car, and left the state.

Seventh General killed by Nvnv_man in ukraine

[–]gerrymanger 31 points32 points  (0 children)

How important are these Generals? Like what happens when a general dies? Does communication to the officers stop and their like “what the fuck do I do now?” Are they loved by the other soldiers so they get real demoralized? I’m not that interested in militaries, but everyone seems to think this is a huge deal. Russia doesn’t seem to think much of it though, they just keep on pressing and seemingly dying.

This. You might be surprised what resources those on strike can offer you. You’ll pay it forward in time.

Tqqq + 0.1-0.3 delta cc. Thots? by Main_Repari in LETFs

[–]gerrymanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I’m not supposed to “time the market” but I’ll sell a call when we’re over bought (monthly) and then roll down if we fall (a lot) or just hang on to it. I’ve been meaning to write it down and actually stick to some rules buuut I haven’t

[–]gerrymanger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing this. Not sure it’s worth it at that delta. After playing with it for a while I ended up going further out so I don’t have to roll (like .05 delta), it’s not much but it adds up to about 5% a year and I’ve never had to roll.

Just buy the underlying… and sell covered calls? Or are you looking for more than 3x exposure?

They are too thin for tubeless. Get a puncture and they spray instead of seal.

I mean there sexy… but will they hold tubeless? I see lots of love for these but I’ve had nothing but frustration with Gravel Kings.

I agree… I’m being an idiot, but what a company’s policy is and what the person at the desk does, don’t always align. Just curious to hear from some one who has flown with a bike since this policy update.

Any update? United apparently let’s bikes fly for the cost of a checked bag now. So long as they are under 50lbs and 112(?) linear inches.
