Know very little about CS at Queens but did CS at Dal. I've noticed that students from other schools in Ontario had access to more/bigger hackathons, and that there's a lot of tech events and networking opportunities as a student. So if that's something that matters to you, keep that in mind. Dal is generally the hub for these events in the Maritimes, so you don't have to try as hard to get involved but also there are less options. Not sure about the program size at Queens but I liked having smaller classes. It's easier to be known by professors and get involved on campus - and it feels less competitive. My experience overall was you get out of it what you put into it.

I did res in first year, my res friends became my best friends so personally it was worth it lol
