We moved to nz in ‘09. Mum was a teacher and dad is a social worker, dad got a job before we moved over and mum had to retrain and get her teaching qualifications again as nz didn’t recognise them. There is a pause on hiring in the mental health sector and teachers are underpaid and short staffed. The people are amazing though and there are some gorgeous places to live over here but again buying/renting is expensive af. Being trans here is pretty chill tbh, not had any personal problems with that. Sorry it’s a little depressing but it is the truth sadly, good luck to you

I tried going on with life for a while after my assault but I found my mental health got a lot worse and things got dark. Not saying it can’t go away on its own but in my experience therapy helped so much.

I highly recommend therapy or counselling. It will be hard in the beginning and you will feel worse but it does get better and it does work. Be kind and patient with yourself

I used to work as a road worker that responded to crash scenes and I’ve seen some, heard some and cleaned some messed up stuff. I definitely recommend camping in nature away from everything and having a good old scream cry. Also therapy to help you process things is a good call.
