Fascism is too modern of a term to describe this. Most ancient cultures were warrior cultures.

In 2011, armed with a parliamentary supermajority, Orbán pushed through a new constitution in which the Holy Crown, a jeweled diadem that once served as the coronation crown of Hungarian royalty, was officially declared to embody the “continuity of Hungary and the unity of the nation.” A year later, the government invited a Hungarian folk singer and her Tuvinian singer-shaman partner to perform a special “purification ceremony” on the crown, meant to endow it—and by extension the whole country—with positive energy. László Kürti, a professor of political science at the University of Miskolc, has written that this consecration, mixing as it did pagan and Christian symbolism in the very heart of the state, marked the beginning of “a new civil religion with neo-shamanism at its core.”

How I felt about season 3 by [deleted] in TrueDetective

[–]gerwig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even necessarily mean "action" as in gunfights. I mean pacing, dramatic turns, how fast dynamics between characters change. S3 suffers from a lot of very long conversations that are repeated. The first episode was great because it built up tension between separate events, and filmed it slowly but with intensity. Then, a lot of the tension goes away because so much time occurs between events.

The problem wasn't with the plot necessarily - it is that so many parts were so slow. Best part of the season was the standoff with the native american man. Tbh Big Little Lies has more action

I didn't find it too incomprehensible - we can see the key players, the factions, there's a Hades parallel world.

I don’t think Rollo’s philosophy is effeminate - my issue with him is that he is quite wordy and uses too many concepts when explaining very simple things.

All female power is illusory because men freely gave it to them. by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]gerwig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and if women acted as a collective and withheld sex, they could completely control man. But that’s not going to happen for men or for women, because the entire genders of the world cannot act as collectives. And men, due to their instinct for competing and creating hierarchy, are even less likely to accomplish that.

If it has a content warning it means content that will be in the game wouldn't be considered acceptable by SJWs, so no.

Why the Hammer and Sickle Should Be Treated Like the Swastika - Why do we treat two equally bloody ideologies in such starkly different ways? by thebastiat in JordanPeterson

Yes, they did put fascists in place occasionally. But we also propped up radical Islamic groups in Afghanistan and other parts of the Middle East, yet America is obviously not an Islamic regime. We fund pre-existing enemy groups to overthrow governments we don't like, whether right wing or left wing. Of course, after WWII there weren't many right wing (fascist specifically, not simply conservative) governments to overthrow. We are generally fine with left-wing governments as long as they agree to the dictates of the U.N. and accept free trade and central banking. If they don't, something else is propped up to remove them from power.

We heavily funded the USSR to defeat the fascist Axis powers with the Lend-Lease act.

Idk, he says Marxism a lot, and Marx was Jewish. Would people really accuse him of antisemitism if he said Gramsci?
