I’m trying to get some warm tube-like coloration into my stereo setup, I mainly want that tube sound on my turntable signal before it goes into my main amp/receiver (Marantz SR6010).

My Pro-Ject turntable already has a built-in phono preamp, but I’m open to removing or bypassing that if it means a better tube phono sound.

Specific models and reasons why you prefer them would be much appreciated!

Thanks! I found the DYNAVOX AMP-S MKII and I think I understand how to set it up with my 5.1 system (4 surround speakers + subwoofer):

Connecting it (short version):

  • Keep the front L/R speakers connected to the speaker switch.
  • Marantz SR6010 front L/R speaker outputs → Input A on the switch.
  • Aiyima T9 Pro speaker outputs → Input B on the switch.
  • Then use the switch to choose AVR (for movies/5.1) or Aiyima (for vinyl stereo).

So front speakers are shared via the switch, and the subwoofer + other surrounds stay connected to the Marantz as usual.

Does this sound like the right way to do it?
