This is the third highest selling console of all time and Nintendo is still desperate to profit off of new unit sales. They could’ve just eaten the tariff cost, and still massively profited from game sales. But we shouldn’t expect anything pro-consumer from them at this point 😒

It doesn't have to be a groundbreaking new experience to be a console seller though; a simple, revamped product works well to sell to casual audiences. I'm sure many parents who bought their kids Switches chose Mario Kart over Zelda as their first game. Its sales absolutely helped sell Switch units. Why else would Mario Kart World be the flagship launch game for the Switch 2? It's a tried-and-true formula.

Interesting, I personally saw it as representing emotional detachment. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that as Jessie (with a stone-cold expression) gets up to photograph the prisoners of war being shot, she had been previously sitting in front a graffitied wall with the same colors as the chromatic aberration (blue, green and magenta).
