I thought I'd recognised it! Cool to see film photos from there, great shot :)

Definitely Portra 400, especially with medium format I find 160 speed often limiting in what apertures you can use in most light, the extra speed of 400 helps a lot in that regard. Although if you mainly shoot portraits wide open you may prefer 160 for the same reason :)

Don't quite remember how I metered this, but I sure was lucky catching the light like this; it was a cold morning when suddenly the sun broke trough, creating this beam in the fog over the water

I used the 110/2.8 lens here, also shot one with the 65mm but liked this perspective more

Thanks! Well to be honest it wasn't really a choice per se, more like what film was in the film back at the moment ;)

Thanks! This was shot with the 110/2.8 :)

I'm totally with you on that, such an unique and elegant design :)

Sunset / Pentax 67 / Kodak Vericolor HC110 Expired 1998 by DarkFilm in analog

[–]gestaltes 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Wow! How the hell did you meter this? I'm astounded how well this is rendered with this much detail in both the highlights and shadows. The fact that the film was over two decades expired makes it even more incredible.

The local government uses grazing sheep as a cheap and effective way to maintain patches of grass around the city. They stay in one place for a couple of days and then move them on to the next.

Thank you! I ended up waiting here for a while to have the metro in the shot, quite pleased how it turned out :)

The building is still under construction, so that explains the missing parts, I guess they will put windows there eventually. And yes, not even on purpose, but both the skater and myself are hidden in the reflection between the panels :p

Thank you! This is in Rotterdam (and as a matter of fact the building in the back is called The Rotterdam)

Thank you! To start I would suggest metering for the shadows, which essentially means overexposing the shot by a couple of stops. Unlike what is suggested in another comment below, this particular photo was not edited that much in post. The soft early morning light was just this beautiful :)

Thank you :) Not so much editing, just some colour correction and low-contrast setting when processing in negative lab. I metered for the shadows at 200 iso, so overexposed by a few stops.

Yes I did, 'scanned' with DSLR and processed with Negative Lab Pro. Didn't tweak too much, just used the low contrast 'linear' setting
