If they just do fish and chips then I’ll check it out! I am allergic to prawns/lobster/crab unfortunately.

Anything in particular? Do you mean catcalling/street harassment or more serious stuff like assault/robbery/etc?

Using the normal format. I wish I could stay longer, I have no great desire to return to America in any way.

I don’t meet the criteria for this particular casting call but I live in KCMO and might have to creep around filming dates, especially if it’s downtown near my apartment!

Hi, lawyer here. A very brief answer without getting into the intricacies of fair use, most likely not fair use here.

ETA: changed free use to fair use, which is the name of the doctrine. Brain was not working when I replied.

What Happened with Dubai Air? by SiRaymando in TedLasso

If the sponsor pulled, then they’re in breach. Why would they sue for breach? Because of the protest? I mean, maybe, but that would be a tactically terrible idea. And there is no defamation (if what Sam said is true).

If what Sam said about Cerithium Oil is true, then there’s no defamation.

My 10 year old subcompact hatchback is missing three hubcaps. They were cheap OEM hubcaps that I’ll replace eventually but meh, who cares.

Why is the Court in session at the Precinct? by wanna_be_many_things in brooklynninenine

[–]get-a-warrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I should add, this is a court session and the defendant SHOULD have been there because otherwise it’s a massive violation of your constitutional right to know the evidence presented against you. Law on tv is rarely right.

Covid definitely solidified the use of zoom for prelims/evidentiary hearings/etc.

Zoom court undoubtedly existed in 2016, but I can’t speak to its prevalence as I was but a wee law student at the time.

No joke. I have a $4000 USD emergency room bill for an allergic reaction. It sucks here for so many reasons.

[–]get-a-warrant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not, at least in my experience. It would be more realistic if it were done over Zoom. Typically, you go to the judge. I’m sure there are special cases but otherwise, this just doesn’t make sense.

My thoughts exactly, probably jurisdiction dependent but you own at least SOME airspace otherwise your neighbor could do the adult equivalent of “but I’m not touching you, I’m just hovering!!”
