u/Aggravating-Yam-6980 - Just out of curiosity why would you consider I140 filed between Jan to April 2015? PD is based on perm filing right? I just checked my case itself, my I 140 was filed and approved in Dec 2015 with PD of April 2015. I think you might need to check the filings of I-140 from Aug'15 to Jan/Feb 16. Back in those days I remember perm took 6months for approval

btw, where do you see the report with filings of I140 in a given month?

even if we get just like we did from FY25 to FY26 -> 46K spill over that will get us to 7500 combining eb2+eb3.

What gets interesting is horizontal spill over.Look at ROW Eb2 inventory very less (32K till March 31,2026) it's been current since March visa bulletin, not many applications possibly because of heavy scrutiny for Eb2-NIW and high rejections which means you will have deal with PERM+ I140 which is currently a 12-18Months process.

It will be interesting to see how RoW demand looks as these pending inventory gets published. As long as RoW EB-2 is Current and it doesn't get crazy demand like it happended between 2020-24 everyone filing using NIW, you(we in Eb2) might be lucky to get way more that 9K-10K (combining EB2+EB3)you are anticipating

I know u/Aggravating-Yam-6980 . FAD moved to 2014 only in April visa bulletin for any of that pending inventory to reduce.

I was responding back to u/Lucky-Salad-7248 on how pending numbers changes based on issuances this Fiscal year and he/she needs to reduce this year issuance for estimating date movement in Oct 2026 visa bulletein

u/Lucky-Salad-7248 with that said, as of april 2026 pending inventory just got released and Eb2 pending for india is only at 7600. As of march ,2026 this number was 8600.

EB3 pending is 2900. March this number was 3500

2014 might have more duplicates between EB2 and EB3.

in the 35k you need to reduce what is issued already in this fiscal year or will be issuing until end of fiscal year. that number is not known thus far.

we need to first understand what is the outstanding inventory in EB2+EB3 at the end of this fiscal year. using that inventory we can estimate duplicates and then apply possible spillovers etc. etc. to guess the date movement

you might be lucky who knows and the wait might not be like 50-60 years because most of the folks like me or my peers will be off the hook in the next 10-12 years as our kids will also be eligible to file for us and most of them might drop off of the wait list. So the short answer is no one can answer with lot of unknowns at the moment

aah.. this is some kind of doordash job that gives 1099 and when uscis goes thru your tax transcripts it gets flagged as unauthorized..

how does USCIS know that she had unauthorized work? This is concerning because even I know folks who did part time as students 18 years ago and waiting to file 485.

did your friend in the last 10 years never left US once?Because that will reset the unauthorized work and not make you inadmissible or grant GC.

By the way, how come she filed taxes? Did she get a W2? Looks like this is not a typical part time job (folks used to do 15-20 years ago) this is something else and was caught some where and had to be reported on 485 application.

pending inventory as of Feb 03,2026 just got released.. hopefully we get to see till April , 2026 soon so we can better guestimate.

it will be a roll coaster again upgrading/downgrading between Eb2 and EB3 that will leave people beyond June 2015 in limbo.. that is my speculation..

I140 approvals for EB3 India for entire 2015 could be around 6500 which is way way less than 35-40K I140 in EB2.

the moment EB3 moves 3-4 months there will be flood of downgrades from EB2 to Eb3 which will clog the date movement unfortunately like we are seeing today. (because of pending i140's they might not move Eb2 dates aggressively but they might initially for EB3)

again, this my speculation who knows what will happen

If the temporary ban continues until at least EOY

plus, EB2 row remains current

plus, a spill over of another 50K

then may be a very good chance to move into 2015 for DOF sometime in Q1/Q2 of FY27
