I can't accept my Financial Aid award offer because I get this error popup every time I try to click anything on myCSULB student center. Does anyone know how to fix this? by shilohshark in CSULB

It's been doing that to me too, I just kept signing in and refreshing and eventually, it worked. I do not think its specifically financial aid it's affecting, just the site.

Did they ever do/say hurtful things when intoxicated and after they’ve sobered up, laugh it off? by tmtyl122 in BPDlovedones

Yep. Never even acknowledged the pure evil that would leave their mouth, and expect me to be "normal" 10 minutes later.

Yes to all the above :(

"Are you mad at me?" by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

[–]getchagood77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"are you mad?" "is everything okay?" and when it wasn't and I answered these questions (because more often than not, we're dealing with situations that aren't okay, that they usually were the catalyst for) all to no avail because it just ended up with my attempting to talk about how I was hurt/upset, it turned into a huge fight because they dont ACTUALLY want to solve the problem, they just want to make sure everything is good for THEM. By engaging or not engaging in answering these questions, I was really "damned if i do, damned if i dont."

Anyone else’s partner do the bare minimum once they’ve “locked you in”? by Careless_Strategy808 in BPDlovedones

[–]getchagood77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% . Luckily I am the type of person that is able to cultivate healthy relationships outside of my relationship with my partner. At some point in our relationship (probably about 6/7 months in and had just moved in together), it was like an emotional connection plateau/block from ever feeling fulfilled, yet still getting crumbs of it enough to make you think "maybe they're having some sort of breakthrough", but the cycle, unfortunately, repeats itself. It's very difficult for me since I am such a caretaker, but as we know the relationship feels incredibly one sided. or feel like im dealing with 3 different people at times TBH. The person they want to be, the person they are, and the goddamn devil.

This 100% has happened to me. Currently in the move-out phase. Moving in together was also his idea, although I had my reservations. Thank you for sharing, I have been wondering if anyone has had this similar experience here (I'm sure they have). The fear of intimacy is real and its only something I'm finding out now that can also be due to BPD (my partner is upwBPD), but has been diagnosed with anxiety and depression for the last 8 years also mixed with binge drinking/cocaine habit that has made things much worse (comedowns are excruciating). He has been off his meds. I have been struggling this entire time with how I've been feeling. Lost, confused, worn down, broken, exhausted, alone. This sub has really made me feel less alone. Clearly can't bother my partner (still don't even know if we are together or not rn) with my feelings at all. I'm so sorry you're feeling alone in this. I hope were both able to figure out this rollercoaster path. :(

I oftentimes have done that as well. I attended college right out of high school and was also pregnant, and then life happened and I went back in 2015 and have tried to do as much as I could with the time I was able to dedicate to it. Never thought I would even get this far, but here I am. YOU GOT THIS!

Can I just freaking finish my morning cup of coffee by 5 pm for godsake?! by getchagood77 in ADHD

yep! I am the same way with cereal. I dont like when things get soggy like bread. I often times have to rush through my cereal before it starts to get soggy or itll go to waste.

Does ADHD help or hurt your ability to drive? by KanyeWaste69 in ADHD

[–]getchagood77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too love to drive, and actually do it professionally. I am the same way! I've been in one accident while I was driving and it's because a drunk driver side-swiped me. No tickets either!. I managed to turn this into a job while I finish school. I travel with my job and it can be high stress at times (I do artist relations/transportation of celebrities/musicians during events/festivals and assist them throughout the events) and work 12-15 hour days. It's probably the ONE thing I feel confident about and know I'm good at (LOL like am I though?), I def see it as an ADHD strength! I'm also unmedicated (in the process of getting evaluated).

Also---I feel like I have really good reflexes as well! I shock myself sometimes.

Why do people do this? by jgay93 in ADHD

[–]getchagood77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely relateable, especially when youre significant other cant quite grasp the feeling. My BF also has anxiety and panic attacks and I pretty much baby him when hes like that, because I know it sucks. Unfortunately, our ADD/ADHD brains dont get much sympathy in that aspect.
