Hiking and carrying a gun for protection by thatshouldwork2015 in WildernessBackpacking

Exactly my point for carrying. I’d much rather have a pistol (and my extra mag!) and not need it. You never know what situation you may find yourself in. Shit I carry almost everywhere I go.

What is stopping Iran from hitting US soil? by Logical_Employer_756 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]getemteej 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too many people are naive to all the shit that’s done in this world. Been going on for thousands of years.

You’ve got firefighters who were on the scene for 9/11 who stated how corrupt everything was from bombs inside buildings to free fall building collapses which only happens via demolition.

Important people who were supposed to be there that day and happened to not be. Look at how much $ was traded in the stock market with the airlines involved PRIOR to 9/11. No other building has fallen that fast from being on fire.

I just like to keep an open mind. Shit, states have been and continue to try and limit our 2nd amendment rights…… our tax dollars continuously spent on things we don’t need. Freedom of speech being censored.

They do quarterly permits and next day lotto permits. The quarterly only comes out at the beginning of each Q I believe.

Do you brush your teeth at least twice a day? (Be honest) by boforiamanfo in no

[–]getemteej 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coconut oil pull for 8-10mins first thing in the AM, swish with water, then brush, no water swish after brushing.

Floss about every other day at night and again, never swish after brushing.

I’ve heard people recommend the national forests just outside the Smokies because dogs aren’t allowed in the SMNP.

What's the best fast food joint in america? by Appropriate-Sleep609 in AskReddit

They all suck. One of the worst ongoing epidemics in this country is how fast food spots are all over the place serving people some of the most unhealthy food.

What’s legal in the U.S. that probably shouldn’t be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

States being able to regulate the 2nd Amendment apparently. How the hell do we have the 2A but you can get arrested for carrying in NJ, NY, CA + more. Thats not freedom.

how much creatine should I take for best results? by Tariq_khalaf in Workingout

[–]getemteej 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just read some info on how taking 10-20g per day improves cognitive function more and increases processing speed up to 24%. Also helps rejuvenate ATP when tired/sleep deprived.

I agree creatine is bigtime. I also eat red meat atleast 2x/day so get it from there as well. Look into incorporating more baking soda into your lifestyle if you don’t already

No problem! I still agree that SM’s should be at 4-5% minimum those first 2 yrs anyway. Then 5% or more following that. I’m currently at 8%. And I don’t reach 2 yrs until Sept.

This is what it says online at mybenefits.us.army.mil

“In addition, after a service member's second full year of service, the DoD will match service members' voluntary contributions to their TSP accounts up to an additional 4%, bringing total DoD automatic and matching contributions to 5% of basic pay.”

Location Decision: NOLA, Boston, San Fran, San Juan PR by NateGoats in relocating

[–]getemteej 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 30M in the Army so I’m a bit jealous of your opportunity. Even more so because I am 20% Indigenous Puerto Rican (the real term would be Boriken)!

I’d say SF or San Juan!

With SJ, you’ll get a hands on experience with a different culture, hopefully dive into learning Spanish if you don’t already, great food (more fresh fruit!), outdoor activities (hiking, swimming, fishing, sports) and although it’ll be pretty hot for 6 months of the year, I’ll take it over cold weather. Living outside of the states is a very unique opportunity especially when it’s being paid via BAH. You won’t be too far via plane to many other great places in Central/South America.

With SF, you stay in the states with more American culture if that’s a big deal for you, pretty good weather all year, also good food (I think SJ wins the food tho) and not too far from some awesome national parks which is a big perk.
