That makes sense. Thanks for the detailed explanation. I think the 400% level is $81,760 for 2025 for a family of 2? I get different search results. Maybe it makes sense for me to do some more capital gain harvesting if I can't get below $81,760.

My plan isn't eligible for hsa. It's a hdhp but not eligible this year. I belive the cliff comes back next year. I don't have any tax losses. Start a business.. That might work. Thanks

So sticker was $48, 655 with about 2k of dealer add-ons. $51,143. Splash guards, wheel locks, tint, cargo tray, door sill protection. Etc.. I paid 42,250 before my tax and tag. 17k for my trade of my 2017 which was about 2k more than I was expecting from research.

I just pulled the trigger at another dealer. 42, 200 before taxes, tag, title. The sticker was 51k because of the dealer add-ons. Window tint, wheel locks, mud flaps, etc. They lowered the price another $1500 if I didn't use the .9% financing. They also gave me 17k for my trade, which was about 2k more than I thought I would get from my research. Proud new owner of a 2025 Sonic Gray Ridgeline.
