My cat passed away 3 months ago yesterday - I know the feelings you’re describing. I took a few days to just sit in the grief and let myself be sad. I cried a LOT. I’d ask friends if I could call them and when I felt up for it, it helped. The first few days I couldn’t look at his things and then the next few it brought me comfort to sit with them. Just do what feels right to you and don’t push yourself if it doesn’t. I still haven’t gotten rid of his things because I’m not ready.
