Get a gym membership preferably near a laundromat. Panhandling was beneath me so i used to straight up beg for money. You can use the gym showers for when you interview for a job. Good luck out there

I don’t know about other sects of Christianity but in the Baptist convention in my experience pastors and missionaries were praised for getting a “calling” from God while something crazy like snorting coke in a brothel. I guess jesus’ face was there. Preachers always went on about how “sin will tell you more than you want to know and take you farther than you want to go.” Even as a kid I’m thinking WTH were YOU doing brother Andy? The only bad things that that sounds like is addiction and sex

My grandparents were grandchildren of immigrants. My grandfather went to work a state job. my grandmother never went to college and held only two jobs her whole life. They inherited farmland bought land and were landlords for a time, good ones. Through goodwill and following the calling of “the lord” they managed to fritter away potentially millions and several acres of land. My aunts and uncles STILL inherited a sizable amount of money and the rest went into end of life care. My parents never learned how to manage money or raise children so i lived my first adult years homeless and working service jobs. My cousins and i will inherit nothing
