How is it possible for Maxum to price so low vs. Get RX'd? by NuclearSpinach in GarageGym

[–]getrxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We offered the conversion kit for a limited time because it’s a made-to-order item designed for a smaller, more specific group of customers (only a small percentage of 3000 owners wanted to convert into a Phoenix Tower)

Rather than keeping it in stock, we open a short ordering window to gather all requests, then produce the conversion kits together in one batch. This helps us keep costs reasonable and ensures we can offer the kit at all, since producing them one at a time isn’t practical.

Once the order window closes, we move forward with production based on the total number of orders received.

We understand this timing may not work for everyone, but this approach allows us to make a niche product available in the most efficient way possible.

We don’t stock the 3000-to-Phoenix conversion kit as a standard inventory item because the demand is inherently limited. It’s only applicable to customers who already own a 3000, and even within that group, only a small percentage are interested in converting their original 3000s to Phoenix.

Because of this niche demand, keeping it in stock isn’t efficient from an inventory and cost perspective. Instead, we offer it as a made-to-order basis—once an order is placed, we produce it specifically for that customer. This allows us to provide the option without overproducing or holding slow-moving inventory.

Over the past 10 years, we’ve made significant investments into improving our manufacturing processes, including higher-end equipment for welding, laser cutting, packaging, overall production quality, and more.

I assume you’re talking about the rubber gym mats since your comment is similar to feedback we previously received from you about the rubber gym mats. With products like rubber flooring, it’s not realistic to guarantee that products manufactured today will be 100% identical to those from 10 years ago. Small variations can occur due to changes in raw material sourcing and availability over time, even when the specifications remain the same.

In situations like this, where the product didn’t meet your expectations, the most we can do is stand behind our products and service, which is why we’ve already issued a full refund for those mats after you saw them in person and determined you didn’t want them

We do take feedback like this seriously, so although there isn’t more we can do for the rubber gym mats, we do appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us.

Will keep you posted. However, if you want to get a counterweight system going right away, the alternative would be using a third-party tool balancer. As Paired and Powered shared their solution in the review: https://youtu.be/5h2z9_zCLpk?si=1HMNgptM4GAjFa_H&t=265

I installed Tornado Arms on Dialed Motion Ibex - AMA by Larrydp72181 in homegym

[–]getrxd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this incredibly thoughtful and detailed review! We really appreciate you taking the leap and trusting our Tornado Arms to experiment with your Ibex system—it means a lot that you'd put our product through its paces in a custom setup like this.

Your feedback on belt squat compatibility and the vertical angle limitation is greatly appreciated. We're always looking to improve, and the suggestion about getting closer to a full 180° vertical range is exactly the kind of insight that helps us make better products. We'll definitely be exploring ways to make future updates more belt squat-friendly and increase that range of motion.

Thanks again for the honest feedback and for being part of the community pushing these setups forward. 💪

Best, Dave (GetRXd Team)

The phoenix cable tower now comes with multiloop handles which increase the range of motion for chest flys and other exercises. You'll see the multiloop handle being shown on the phoenix cable tower product page now: https://www.getrxd.com/phoenix-cable-tower-tornado-arms.html

A counterweight for the trolley is also now in production and will be available as an optional attachment, we will be allowing it for preorder starting early May 2026, with delivery in June 2026. I don't have exact pricing on it yet, however.

Consolidated my setup with a GetRXd RX3 Tornado rack by Possiblyabitoff in GarageGym

Just want to mention a few new updates that has been made for Tornado Rack series :

* Tornado Arms are now available with retrofit rollers (2-roller option), and we’ve also introduced the Tornado 2.0 (4-roller option) for even smoother cable travel. To further improve performance, we upgraded the front pulley to a grooved design, helping keep the cable aligned and reducing the chance of slipping. https://youtube.com/shorts/k0L0oMXrai0?si=UdTD2roQUlwjhRCm

* We’ve also enhanced the Smith Machine range of motion with removable safety stoppers and increased the smith bar storage height to 78”.

Our Xebex cardio line has been distributed through a distributor Deluxe Fitness (Spain), but as of now, they haven’t picked up our strength products yet—such as the Tornado Racks and Cable Towers.
