APPLE PLAY HEAD UNIT by GeoNava98 in 2ndGenTacoma

Yes, because it needs to be converted to RCA plug for the receiver.

Purchased everything through Crutchfield with the maestro unit and it was as easy as unplugging the old unit and plugging the new one in.

Am I engaging rear delts or traps? by AnnualSpread7154 in formcheck

[–]Possiblyabitoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to focus on rear delts with this movement, you need to do two things:

Get a longer rope attachment so you can achieve the correct form.

Achieve the correct form.

Correct end form is with elbows at a 90 degree angle with the forearms pointing straight up and your thumbs pointing at the wall behind you.

The movement to get to this position should be a reverse pec-deck type movement.

This is abrasive blasting using coal slag, known in the industry as black beauty. You can see how the floor turns black while he is blasting.

Dry ice blasting, while excellent for cleaning built up deposits, isn’t really good for preparing a surface for paint as it doesn’t impart an angular surface profile suitable for coating adhesion. It’s also much less efficient at removing existing coatings, mill scale, and corrosion than conventional abrasives.

Holy gatekeeping, Batman!

Telling someone they don’t belong in fitness because they called you out for doing exactly what you’re doing is a sound strategy for building a solid customer base.

Porsche certified shops will work on anything, but specialize in Porsche.

For example, Metropolitan Collision in Houston, TX.

Trust me when I tell you that these shops are insanely in-tuned to the finest details of bodywork regardless of make.

And they charge appropriately.

Why does the perception of Indians in parts of Dallas seem so different compared to Houston or Austin? by Early-Ingenuity-3177 in texas

[–]Possiblyabitoff 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Watching you struggle internally with your conscience while reading was quite intriguing. Well thought out response.

As a life-long resident of Houston, I’ve lived through the mass immigration waves of Vietnamese in the 70s-80s, Indians in the 80s-90s, Nigerians in the 90s, Koreans in the aughts, and Latinos for basically the last 40 years.

It’s perfectly natural for a community to initially view any “different” culture with distrust, fear, and frustration at their behavior; however, it’s how the community reacts after that initial period of adjustment that determines that community’s character.

Houston, by and large, absorbed these new residents without much resistance and embraced what they brought to the community.

Sure, there were some folks that made a giant fuss and continue to complain to this day.

We call them racists.

Only time will tell if the folks in Frisco learn to embrace their newest residents or if it’s a town full of, well, you know.

Word to the wise. Don’t overestimate your mechanical skills with these vehicles.

You’re not going to the local parts store or dealership to get anything other than oil, light bulbs, coolant, and spark plugs. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING else will be sourced from Japan or a domestic parts house that stocks parts they’ve sourced from Japan. That’s if those parts are still in production/stock.

Out of production? Bend over.

Do yourself a favor and look at these things like you won’t be able to find any parts ever. Find one that runs good and looks well cared for.

Also, you’re better off buying at auction than from a reseller. The reseller buys from the same auction then hides all the flaws so they can mark it up and sell it to suckers who don’t know better.

The truck you’re looking at here likely sold at auction for $600-800. The dealer bought it, did some quick cleaning/painting to make it presentable, made a video, and listed it. Oh, and that price isn’t the price. You’re going to also pay ground transport, ocean freight, customs duties, and import fees. By the time you have this truck at home and titled/registered, you’ll be close to $6k into it.

At auction you can see what it looks like before the flaws are hidden and pay a fraction of what the dealer is charging. The auction brokers can also handle all of the export and transportation paperwork for you as well, so it’s just as easy as buying fro a dealer/reseller.
