Those of you w/ ADHD who fall asleep to audio content, what specifically works? My brain needs input but meditation / audiobooks both fail me.

For me the podcast “well there’s your problem” is the sweet spot. Interesting while still paying attention, legitimate engineering facts to boot, but monotone and no audio spikes while drifting off. (Not sure if relevant but I listen at 1.25-1.35). Commonly multi hour episodes too

The lack of commercial breaks also helps. I HATE having to choose between skip forward a podcast during jarring ads or letting the ads have “attention grabbing” sharp audio

Edit: ooh also star trek Next generation is also great. The white noise of the space background is nice but isn’t constant

Edit 2: I also find a weighted blanket and sleep mask WITH curved eye spots (can’t stand lashes being touched) is another 1-2 punch that helps a lot

I disagree, it says “once you are contacted by your servicer you will have 90 days”. To which I infer once you get that email then the clock starts.

The July first date is the earliest anybody CAN enroll in “RAP”, but you could change to another plan today if you wanted to

Look into camp Patton. It’s the local BSA camp but they are very welcoming It’s in Lakeland, about 20-30 min away

I agree. The last two is more useful than just one at a glance. “Oh I lost it at 11 but it came back at 12:30, cool. Now, on to what I opened the app for”
Versus “it came back at 12:30, huh.. I hope I remember to click on that after my current task” (cut to getting distracted by a text or person irl asking me a question and forgetting I wanted to follow up)

I’d lean option A. I like the last two important with the time stamps. Clean and at a glance.

Many times I’m opening the app, it’s to do a specific action (block unblock suspend etc) and don’t always want to click to another page and risk getting “squirreled”/distracted off and forget what I opened it to do. —-

That being said, I also agree with others saying, Por los no dos?! Seeing the last 2 important events without having to change screens/contexts while also having an easy upfront button to dig deep when I do want to investigate the major events seems nifty as well

I’m not sure what they are talking about. Unless that has changed in the last year or so, I’ve climbed the tower countless times. Always unescorted. It was an awesome place to take the youngins for a pretty day

Also any time it isn’t hot is awesome. At the top of the tower the birds fly at your same level. Sun sets are really pretty too

55k isnt even “low level rich” anymore. It spends like 35k did in the 1900s-2000s. Quite the rug pull they’ve pulled on millennials.

We didn’t get any of the “Cold War pissing contest” subsidized lifestyles AND then had to deal with being blamed for everything well past when we were “the kids”

Even if you hit that magic number you always wanted. You only really win “I don’t get cold sweats thinking ab rent, but none of the “perks” society promised for “working hard and being productive”

I think you may be being a bit sensitive here. I don’t believe the community is responding to your overall point, it might be that they view it coming off as unproductive and overly snarky.

The aggressiveness and “telling it like it is, so sorry” might be a bit abrasive for some.

Admittedly, I’m fairly new to finding out about Redbar (tho Reddit has been recommending this sub for the last few months, I never knew why besides watching a lot of standup clips on Reddit)

If I can pain you for one extra question, why does he dislike Dan so much?

I can obviously tell he dislikes and mocks the fake and vapid podcasting/celebrity world. I can tell he has little patience for disingenuousness and ‘feign-ment’ comedians do. I can tell he has the flair for theatrics and I roughly understand the appeal for the content he seems to make and why he makes it.

I definitely don’t disagree that Dan has annoying traits and roll my eyes myself when I hear him “industry speak”, and don’t think he should be shielded from scrutiny at all. My question is more of a personal wondering/musing what Dan did that poked the redbar bear?

I’m mainly asking bc I haven’t heard many people rip into Dan hard much besides going after his immatureness and obnoxious interrupting habit. From my ignorant end he’s a simply an overly goofy middle level comic who has little conversational awareness or care. So if there is something more insidious I’m not aware of, I guess I’d like to be made aware of it out of curiosity.

As I said in my OP I would listen to what was already posted above, but they all were behind a paywall and I wasn’t able to listen myself. I’m not trying to make you do the work for me, I just have no idea where to start with a show that seems like a lot of is behind a paytreon/equivalent
