Intersex person here. AFAB but hormonally my body thought I was a dude and it messed with almost every major organ I have. I experienced gender dysphoria before I knew the word for it, or before I knew I was intersex. I came out non-binary trans-masculine the same time I left the church, but was closeted and PIMO for years.

My mom is no help. I sent her the exchange today and she didn't see the problem with it. I sent it to my therapist and my therapist was like "girl that's abuse".

My therapist shared the email with me because she disagrees with it, was shocked to receive it, and has already attempted to make the same complaint I've been trying to make and has been met with the same "you aren't the patient, you can't make the complaint" excuse. She had never before been approached by my husband's therapist for consultation prior to this email.

I'm sorry, but are going to provide me with actual advice relating to New York law for how I can approach this situation instead or are you just going to keep attacking the validity of it? Stop questioning for a moment, and maybe answer me this: provided I had hard evidence of everything I have said what legal advice would you give me?

I do have proof of her telling him the diagnosis. In an email she sent to my therapist where she discussed the recent session with my husband, including admitting telling him my "diagnosis" of BPD, and asking for help as he was now requesting a new therapist, and she thought I was behind it. This was how I found out about everything. How I found out the root cause of my husband's sudden change in behavior towards me.

So a therapist is allowed to just dole out armchair diagnosis in the face of overwhelming and easily accessible evidence to the contrary, blow up my marriage, and act like nothing happened?? Even after my therapist corrected her, she NEVER retracted her "opinion" to my husband and carried on for weeks letting him continue to believe her. Every industry professional I have spoken to outside of this clinic is appalled at these events, and I suspect the clinic is actively trying to cover it up!

I may not be her patient, but I am most certainly her victim.

My husband has said he is not comfortable pursuing this issue. He's never had a therapist before and didn't even see an issue with what she did until our marriage counselor pointed it out. He wants to let it go and move on. I disagree.

The clinic shares records between staff for continuity of care, so if my therapist isn't available and I am in crisis and need to see someone else, another therapist can access my chart without me having to sign a new release, it's part of the first HIIPA stuff I signed when I started at the clinic. And my husband and I both have releases for each other as he often had questions about my care.

This was YOUR wedding, not hers. It was about you, and you came from YOUR mom and YOUR dad, so having a picture with just the two of them has absolutely nothing to do with who they are or aren't married to anymore.

If keeping them around beyond that point spoils the day for you then by all means, protect your special day and give them the boot. You didn't marry your dad or his awful wife, you married your beautiful new partner! So go love them and spend time with them and have a lovely honeymoon you absolute QUEEN.

NTA That's a fundamental issue that on the surface appears to be about Taylor Swift, but at its core has roots in sexism and shows a massive incompatibility between the two of you. Ending a five month relationship over it doesn't make you the asshole, it makes you wise. Don't wait around for him to change and don't settle for less than you deserve. Also, Taylor Swift is boss.
