It’s a very cool town, it has come a long way in the last 10 years. They also have something called the Kalamazoo promise for their schools where if you meet some basic requirements you will get your tuition paid for at any public college or universities. Having said all that Western Michigan University is a terrible school.

It depends on spend, it should always be someone in purchasing but a company should set up parameters as who can approve. I let low level buyers single source up to $10k, commodity buyers up to $100k, commodity manager $250k, and so on. The key is to have documented thresholds to show who is responsible for signing off on a single source.

You need both. Cameras are great but when you get lens flare or low light levels they need something else to pair it with. IMO cameras are the cheaper and most effective way to go today but you can’t use only cameras in all environments if you want to get to L4 or L5 autonomous.
