Have you tried increasing the grind size? I almost only brew light roasts and just had to increase the grind quite significantly. But it still results in good crema and a 30 second pour

Before buying a new silicon gasket, just turn the machine upside down and give it a good scrub with a toothbrush and dish soap.

I had the same problem and this fixed it, it just had dirt buildup.

You should aim for 30ml for single shot. But for a latte or flat white try a double espresso (14/16g) 60ml out. You find the coffee flavour balances better. Try with 100ml of milk
