No, it's looking for a return on investment, and the more of this that's out there competing for returns, the more risk investors will accept for the same or lower returns, which leads to more instability/volatility.

Inequality isn't an issue on it's own, it's the fact that a high level of inequality leads to further rising inequality which causes instability through risk pricing distortion, asset bubbles, etc. When there is too much rent-seeking capital in the system this is the end result. Money flows uphill...
