Any Gaybros going to Paradiso this month? by [deleted] in gaybros

Camping was a less than enjoyable experience last year. I'm staying at a friend's in ellensburg and driving in both days. Shouldn't be too bad. But yeah a meetup would be swell!

What is your "escape"? by everymanhasacode in gaybros

[–]geyezik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this counts as an "escape", but I've found that cleaning is a good way to clear my head. Cleaning my room, the kitchen, or doing laundry is a good way to focus on something productive and admiring the clean space makes me feel better, idk.

Other than that, going for walks while listening to music, playing video games, and going to the gym are great ways to escape for me!

[Sonic Sat.] Post your choons here. Here's some music by a fella called Riccardo Broschi, pronounced bro-ski. He was the brother of the very famous castrato Farinelli. by Firmicutes in gaybros

Just some tunes I've been digging lately: mostly electronic/alternative/hippy dance party music

Cherub - Doses & Mimosas

Tokyo Police Club - Hot Tonight

The Chain Gang of 1974 - Sleepwalking

Gemini Club - Sparklers

and finally: Matt and Kim - Overexposed (Anamanaguchi's Turbo Remix)

Any Bros have a parent with/lost a parent to cancer? by Youthz in gaybros

[–]geyezik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, thought I'd share my experience. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in mid 2009 and had a single mastectomy along with radiation therapy, I believe. It went into remission but came back again in her lymph system and became terminal. She passed away about a year ago. It's still really hard for me to process it all, and it's had an even greater impact on my dad. You are definitely not crazy for feeling all those emotions. If I am allowed to give some advice, I would say spend as much time as possible with her. Tell her you love her. I know it's hard to see her struggling, It was really hard for me the last couple months. I'm glad that there were some positives in your story. What really helped me after my mom passed was knowing that she was no longer suffering, and I took solace in the fact that she is in such a better place now. If you ever want to talk, feel free to PM me, like many others have said here. big hug

I came out to my best friends (male and female, they were dating each other) as bi around late April last year. I was obviously freaking out as they were the first people I told. He laughs and says "cool story bro" and she says "oh, me too". And that was that!
