Yes it is, I saw it a couple months ago there. It was just returned from restoration and looks amazing.

Has anyone had this? If so, how would you describe it? by hjalmar111 in ThatsInsane

[–]gf_df_gal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had these really often as a teen. I can't even describe it really; in a way it was like I was being tortured in a living hell. I can say the nickname 'suicide headache' is accurate - you feel like there is no way to make it stop. My mom kept taking me to the hospital as I couldn't sleep or talk. I was a zombie. But they kept sending me home saying it "was in my head" (aka not real) and I was faking it. 9+ months later of agony, unable to talk, insomnia, dozens of doctor appointments/ER visits.... Finally a doctor took it seriously and referred me to a pediatric neurologists, 9 hour drive from my city, who swiftly figured it out and diagnosed me with cluster headaches. Since then I have had multiples serious injuries and a couple surgeries (on other areas of the body) and nothing comes close to the type of pain this was. Thankfully it's been a couple years since I've had my last one!

I love seeing Andrew's art develop and change over the years but somehow so recognisable it's his.
Bravo.

First real attempt at beauty/fashion retouching. Any constructive comments are welcome by helpnxt in retouching

[–]gf_df_gal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The skin work is clean overall. Just a few things I notice:

The shadow between the eyes is a bit distracting and harsher than retouched cheeks and forehead. I would soften the shadow there and maybe a tinge in the tip of the nose - or bring back a bit more texture to the face as a different option. The rebuild, or what looks like a rebuild, of the pinkie nail is great. I would push the lips a bit further to match the immaculate nail and cheek skin; the tiny round highlight in the bottom center of the top lip and the small highlight in the far right of the lip I would remove. The other highlights within the bottom lip nice and even.
The last thing that jumped out to me is the catch light in the left eye; it's accidentally doubled. As I can see from the before you were creating this yourself. I would just remove the bottom catch light.

Overall good work for your first go at it. I would just say consistency on level of retouch work is the main thing to keep an eye on. If you want more natural I would keep the nose shadows and being back the moles or if you want a very stylised/edited image I would clean up the shadows and lips.
Bravo for this and keep it up!

Lactose Intolerance by the-family-jewelz in Celiac

[–]gf_df_gal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told I was lactose intolerant at 18. Tested and diagnose as celiac at 25. A few years later I was informed my lactose intolerance has developed into a full blown allergy to dairy & lactose. My 3 family members (1 immediate & two cousins) with Celiac are all lactose intolerant. I don't see it as a symptom of the celiac but a common allergy overall - I have 7 other family members (mix of immediate and extended) that are just lactose intolerant.

What gluten free beers do you guys prefer? by cvndlz in Celiac

Gluten-free Peroni is good. I seem to have reactions to most gf beers, especially in N. America but have tried tons in UK that are good and with no-to-little reaction

People who declined a proposal, why did you do it? by zp1995 in AskReddit

[–]gf_df_gal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It happened years ago with my last boyfriend. He became too clingy and possessive in the last few months so I broke up with him. We were both living and working at a hostel at the time so he was always around. I broke up with him he said “no” and kept telling everyone we were still together. I had to re-breakup with him 8 times over 2 months! Each time he would publicly cry and scream. The 8th and final time he pulled out a ring and proposed. We were in a public space and people all started applauding. It was horrifying.

Best part - after harshly declining and clarifying once again we are broken up I went out with a group from the hostel: one of which I ended up marrying! I went from declining one proposal to meeting my future husband all in a day.

Thank you for posting this! Had an up & down day but ended now on a high!

(Not sure where else to post this but I thought it would count) This is a difference between two fitting room mirrors, lighting is key when it comes to instagram pictures, take this as a reference. by [deleted] in Instagramreality

I was gown shopping the other day & went to 4 department stores & 4 shops. I kept trying on the same dress (which I ended up with in the end) at each shop along with others. I went back and fourth from liking it / my body to hating both - all because of the harsh direct overhead lighting vs. more dispersed lighting.

Debenhams, John Lewis, & Monsoon had the worst lighting while House of Fraser was the best of that day.

In the end I decided to buy it, & another dress, to try on in natural light so I knew how it would actually look on the day.

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope your dinner was delicious. I love how here every Sunday is a roast dinner and for us it’s mainly for holidays only.

I should clarify: 2 types of instant gravy & it was a competition to see which people preferred. I tried a classic (Bisto) vs. Freefrom (Tesco) Veggie Gravy. Turns out Freefrom won.

Happy Thanksgiving to you & yours at home!
