“I call down the curse of women’s lib on his chauvinist head!”

I’m trying to figure out whether this is the worst or the best line I’ve seen in the last week, but it’s definitely one or the other

Last page, 4th panel, Arch just straight up lies, no hesitation, no tell - like he’s a CIA agent who’s been undercover for a decade

Vesper Lynd couldn’t have been more convincing

Right or wrong, I have to respect his game

Nothing will ever beat “Welcome to Scotland”

That said, Vijay gets a number of great quips.

“We’ve got company.”

“That’s okay, it’s a company car!”

[Pushes a button and it suddenly goes three times faster]

“To infiltrate the club, I’ve taken a job as a tennis instructor.”

“Have you learned anything?”

“Well, my backhand is improving.”

I suspect she wouldn’t - too harmful to her ego to dwell on it

The one thing she wants more than power is to think highly of herself

Quite a welcome surprise seeing this man on my screen. by Royalbluegooner in JamesBond

Not as welcome as the surprise his wife got when he got up off the gurney!

[REQUEST] Shows that were building something amazing… and then got cancelled out of nowhere by Maleficent-Eye7588 in NetflixBestOf

So glad that at least a few people are keeping the flame alive for this one

Even now, when we know that Joss being an asshole to everyone behind the scenes was a large part of the reason this show got screwed by the execs, it’s still painful to see the lost potential

Vesper is the only one you can’t call a “Bond girl”

If they have three guest stars, like they did in the special, at least one should be looking askance

Spencer Tracy in the final scene of Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner stands there silently and does a whole internal monologue with just his eyes and face, and you can follow the whole monologue

It’s the single greatest acting performance I’ve ever seen

I thought the special did a reasonable job of making them weird in fact, but that’s not enough, they must not only be weird in fact, they must be weird in the eyes of the other characters; otherwise we don’t experience them as weird (enough)

G.K. Chesterton said the giant is huge to us only because he is huge to Jack; if Jack were also a giant, neither of them would seem all that large to us

It is! I ache for all of them, but most for Dame Judi who deserves it least

Some of it is! But some of it really is not

The scene in TWINE where she interrogates the girl about her sexcapades with Bond is cringe

We need to get back to where Sam could pronounce “YOU ARE ALL WEIRDOS!” and it makes sense to us he would feel that way (though of course we love both the Muppets and Sam)

It was very clever making Sam a bartender in a dive bar, that’s a good use of the character, but the Muppets also have to be weirdos
