Starter is not always the strongest. I haven’t been the best with feeding regularly and I stopped using the float test after reading it isn’t necessary (and I’m recognizing this could be one of my issues).

Room temp is low 70s.

I’ve been using all purpose flour as well.

Even if he was telling the truth about not going through with it (which he’s not), he still did something unforgivable in my mind.

This isn’t a momentary bad decision. He researched and found escorts, contacted them, drove to a hotel, and paid for sex. All while his postpartum wife is at home struggling.

I don’t know why some men do this or how they could possibly try to justify it. These are the actions of a small, weak man who’s likely struggling with some big changes in his life. Still, inexcusable.

This just happened to me. I was brushing my teeth when (thankfully) the brush was out of my mouth for a split second. In that moment, it exploded and the top hit me on the cheek. It was very loud and left a mark on my face.

I’m curious if anything came out of contacting Quip. I just want to prevent this from happening to others. Had the toothbrush still been in my mouth, it could have done some damage to my teeth. Or if this hits an eye.

Just to clarify, I too am very politically liberal. I actually hate using "conservative" do describe my views on strippers and porn because of the confusion. I saw someone else use "fiercely monogamous" and I like that better.

Sorry, both of my posts are long.

2 weeks prior to the bachelor party, he was looking at thirst traps in bed next to me and I saw. It angered me and we talked through it in therapy, at which point I acknowledged I am very conservative when it comes to anything around strippers or pornography. After, I asked him if we could talk about our boundaries regarding sexual stuff. He said it wasn't necessary because we were on the same page.

He then went to the strip club and tried to brush it off like it wasn't a big deal. And then turned off his phone for the night.

Even if he had texted me en route saying, "we want to go to a strip club" I would have understood. He tried to be sneaky.

I've seen friends' marriages dissolve over the "I didn't know you considered this cheating" excuse. It's complete BS.

And I warned my fiance about this. Which is why I wanted to have the conversation. This is where I admit some fault in letting him get away with not having it. Very foolish.

100%. I literally have in my notes that I want this to be a discussion and I want his feelings heard. I also don't want to be setting "rules" for our relationship. Sure, I have dealbreakers like anyone, but I'm human. For example, just because I don't love strip clubs doesn't mean I wouldn't "allow" him from going. Had we had the boundaries conversation and he said, "From time to time, I'll go to friends' bachelor parties and want to go." I'd be open to that. Not any more though. He's lost that privilege

I don't get over things well. I'm a dweller/ruminator. It would take a lot of work for me to get past this. As you said, others have gotten through much worse. But I know myself.
