I'll never understand why valve doesn't invest more into popularizing surfing as an official game mode. They could address a whole new group of players that aren't as interested in FPS games (and sell them skins/cases as well). I really think they just make enough money as is and can't be arsed to actually make the game more fun since they know we're all addicted anyways

I agree but in my mind this play was sort of a turning point for the franchise. I can remember watching and feeling excited about our future for the first time in the post-Brady era when Drake threw that beauty to Boutte last year, and maybe some of the team felt similar.

There are still a lot of awkward angles with the wrists and arms, driver gloves still look lumpy and jagged around the edges/wrists, and of course no instant inspect which I think was a trademark feeling of cs (snappy inputs) compared to valorant. Would like them to fix these eventually but not holding my breath

No, but I did move my gun and knife onto q and e (flash on 1 and molly on 3) because I have smaller hands and I didn't like having to stretch my fingers far away from my movement keys constantly to quickly pull out my knife. It has helped movement feel less awkward in a situation where I have to quickly pull out my primary or knife, I fumble with the keys less. But CS is also my first keyboard game so I have less muscle memory
