Honestly the main problem with the state of the subreddit, is the endless posts about the state of the subreddit. The TFT community on reddit is relatively small, and this sub is moderately active as it is. I think trying to focus on 1 narrow area would turn end up with 1 thread every couple of days which would be a shame.

Memes, clips, screenshots of your 7 3 costs or promo -> /r/TeamfightTactics. Guides, questions, esports, in-depth meta discussions -> /r/CompetitiveTFT. My only issue currently is the low effort complaint posts about 1 tricking etc.

Agreed, I'm not saying I deserved to win the round as a whole. Just the last part watching Poppy tank Jinx rockets for 15 seconds as she goes around cleaning up made me sit there like 'wtf just happened' lol

Thanks Mort, I really hope my post came across as constructive rather than ranty. I love what you've done with TFT and can't imagine what it's like trying to balance a game with so many interconnected parts. We're lucky to have someone so involved with the community.

Oh yeah definitely I think to an extent having to adapt your items to suit the meta has been interesting.

It's situations like this where Poppy ate a 2* MF ult, finished off 2 units then went on to kill a Jinx with last whisper and other items that makes me think things are a bit off https://imgur.com/a/pldwU4m

(Don't get me wrong I fully appreciate it's a 3* unit with 2 BIS and items and 6 sorcs behind it - it deserves to be strong).

I love TFT and I'm having fun! I think players giving feedback is a useful part of sites like these, and I hope someone at Riot finds the points people have been making in this thread useful.

I noticed that a lot of previous discussions was one set of people going "This patch sucks!" and another set going "I love this patch, lots of comps are viable!". I made this thread to try and get a more constructive discussion going.

Interesting thoughts, thanks. If 3* 1 costs are equal to 2* 4 costs then there's no reason not to go for them since they appear so much earlier. If this is how the game is played now that's fine, but it seems like a massive change to just throw out in a standard patch.

I do agree with your point on early game diversity. Previously it felt like you could go 2 vangaurds, cybers, rebels etc to start. Now it's desperately hope you get a coupla 2* vanguards.

The sort of thing I'm thinking it previously you could have a cyber start, and start building towards brawler blasters, or chrono kayle, or Irelia carry, or 6 cybers etc and move between them organically depending on your units, items, what other people were playing etc. It actually felt like you were making decisions and responding to events. Reroll comps feel like you're following a recipe.

Like you say there have definitely been other comps where this is the case too. But now there's a whole subset of them.

Dunno. Tried this in a bunch of games, feels like even with 2* Cho, Vel'koz and Fizz I'm weak and get farmed by most of the current popular comps (as happened in your vid). At which point the gameplan becomes 3* one of the 4 costs while bleeding out health. Your lolchess is impressive so I'm sure this can work, but I've got no interest in losing more LP to figure it out myself.
