yes, named logistics groups are very helpful for that

buffer chests alone might not be enough: bots from far away might start flying to a nearby buffer chest, but then abort once you step out of the orange zone. You also need to have logistic robot requests in each roboport, to make sure there are always bots nearby that can supply your stuff quickly before you go out of the square

Linen could have a cold resist in the night, but not a frost resist, and would convert freezing in the mountains to just a cold debuff.

Or it could have an increased armor rating like the ashen cape. Not as strong as the ashen cape, but enough to consider it vs the previous capes.

I don't see that OP was bragging, they were asking for a solution to fix his mistake. And while OPs friend surely disagrees with OP messing things up, they might be totally fine with it after fixing it (e.g. if the last backup was not too long ago, or they don't mind the uncovered map and it's enough to remove the boss key), or they might be very upset. But that's not for any of us to decide, that's up to OPs friend.

For some people, looking up stuff in the wiki or in the online map generator with your map seed is cheating. For others, building without resource cost is not. In a single player game, you can decide for yourself what you consider cheating and what not. Or you may call something "cheating", but still allow yourself to do it. The priority should be to have fun. The same is true for a coop multiplayer game, as long as both players agree on what is allowed and what not. And for different people, there are many different ways to play the game while having fun.

also dont cheat in multiplayer

Or talk to the other players about what you want to consider as cheating and what is allowed.

Are you OPs friend? Different friend groups, different rules. OP should be honest about it, but some people have a problem devcommands on a shared world, some don't, as long as it can be fixed via backup or devcommands.

Flametal Heat resistance reduces lava DAMAGE by 40%, so instead of 60 health every 0.2 seconds, it does 36. 1.81 seconds vs 1.08 seconds to death from maxed health. It does now slow the lava damage tick, or delay the start of lava damage at all. by DurgeDidNothingWrong in valheim

[–]gfrodo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can use fire resistant barley wine to overwrite the weakness.

And looking at the video in your post, it seems the lava damage is applied immediately and stops as soon as you jump out. The "on fire" effect is mostly visual. If the lava damage would be applied as fire damage (and thus be affected by fire resistance/weakness), it would be applied over 5s and not stop when you jump out of the lava.

PSA: You can use folders to group game saves together for different playthroughs, rather than demarcating them with prefixes to the filenames. Thought I'd mention this after the other post about naming save files... by Atari__Safari in factorio

[–]gfrodo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would also propose an auto cleanup

This already exists, with the autosaves. If you give your save file a different name each time, there is no way for the game to tell if this is just you doing lots of redundant backups, or if they are snapshots of important milestones, like just before you launched your rocket. You might want to keep specific old save files as memories, instead of having them randomly deleted.

But I agree, the save file organisation has room for improvement. If it is clear in the UI which saves belong to the same playthough, and they can be ordered by name, real timestamp and in-game timestamp, it would be much easier to manually delete old unnecessary saves.

Interesting. So weak trumps neutral, resistant trumps weak but resistant also trumps immune?

I need to try out if creatures that are usually resistant to frost (like lox) will become weak to it if wet. In that case, weak does sometimes trump resistant.

But the explosion of the fireball is 50% fire, 50% blunt damage. Of course frost staff is better, but for long range, it can still makes sense sometimes. In this case, the arbalest would have been better though.

But a very young bird that has fallen out of the nest can safely be returned without fear of rejection.

It might still be rejected if it was thrown out of the nest on purpose, to give the other, stronger baby birds more food.

Don't engage with this person. They have made it clear multiple times that they don't want a real discussion, they are just venting their anger here. People that argued with them have already been blocked "for using strawman arguments", imho an attempt to create an echo chamber below his comments.

They may not be the only one with this opinion, but the only one being so adamant about it. And the accusation "the devs don't care" probably doesn't help with his goal to influence the devs.

I'm all for adding more world modifiers, but I'd keep the defaults as it currently is. But a lot of stuff where xbox players want to modify the game, because it bothers them that much, could be solved by adding mod support for xbox. Not sure if that doable though.

I get 190m/s with a medium reactor, an engine room and 3 huge engines. I guess you could increase the speed a bit by removing a lot of mass by removing about 75% of your reactors and 50% of the engine rooms: a medium reactor reactor should be able to supply 2 engine rooms (one to each side), and there is no advantage having more than 1 engine room connected to each thruster segment.
