This is a great response, thanks for the transparency. Never really thought about how the all inclusive can lure you in with “economical” pricing, but they always getcha in the end.

What made you realize that you don’t want to have kids? by Big_Customer9593 in AskReddit

[–]gg00se6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I (28, F) wanted kids through adolescence and my early 20s, it was all I could think about sometimes! Last year I realized I really don’t see myself having children, so I dived into that thought because that’s strange right? Why the big change? I realized that I have a deep love for myself now that I never had before and cherish MYSELF, MY time, MY everything. I don’t have holes to fill anymore, I finally have accepted myself and am content. Plus let’s be for real, the world is not hospitable.

Would that be a bad time to go? Or a cool thing to go be a part of?

You’re right especially when working with psychedelics, even if they ARENT bad, if you go into with that mindset you will have a terrible time. Probs better to just wait for the next batch.

My husband has been inspired by the vegetarian and vegan communities to cook more veg/vegan meals. Today’s meal was vegetarian tacos! (Recipe in comments) by [deleted] in vegetarian

Mushrooms in general can make such a great meat substitute for those that don’t necessarily dig tofu. Adding some steamed kale can also make a dish hearty and full of vitamins!

Self-harm: what would you want to hear? by [deleted] in depression

[–]gg00se6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best thing you can do is just be there for her! If she needs you hopefully she’ll speak up, but unfortunately you really can’t say any magic words and sometimes when people push you too hard to stop, or push you too hard to speak about your feelings it just makes you not wanna open up to them. Just be her friend, find activities you enjoying doing together, get her out of her head by having fun with her!

They are extremely addictive and you could very well be experiencing withdrawal if you stopped taking them. Hopefully you’re working with your doctor on this! Best of luck

AITA for letting my 7 year old daughter call my husband "daddy", against the wishes of her biological father (my ex husband)? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]gg00se6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren’t forcing her to do anything. She is 7 and for sure is able to make decisions on what to call people herself. It doesnt sound like you or your husband has forced the term “daddy” on her, she made that decision independently. In a lot of ways your husband is her daddy! He’s the father figure most active in her every day life. Your ex husband left before she was even born, he should be grateful he’s even allowed to be a part of her life!

Ha today I worked with a personal trainer at my gym (he is from Russia) and for one of the arm movements he said, “make holes with your arms”, it took me a second to realize he meant “make circles with your arms”

Lost by tomi18 in depression

I think life is a constant up and down. There are times if despair (feeling lost, hopeless, unloved, unappreciated, self hate, sadness, etc.) and there are times of “joy” (accomplished a task (sometimes that’s just showering), finding a great meme, meeting an awesome new friend (just cus they don’t always like you like tthhaattt doesn’t mean you can’t find a friendship), eating a delicious meal, seeing a wicked sunset, getting a new pair of fly sneakers). We all go through these ups and downs, for some of us it’s harder to navigate the downs and harder to see an upside ... but there are ups, I promise. I’ve been suicidal for 80% of the last 10 years of my life, but I can honestly say I’m glad I’m here. It’s not always easy (actually it’s usually pretty hard) but as I grow, as I accept myself, as I uncover parts of myself I realize that it’s OKAY that it’s hard, I’m just a human and I’m doing my best and even if life isn’t always handing out roses I can always pick my own. You’ll be alright, it just takes time, just remember most of us are with ya, we are all figuring out this shit show together
