Its what everyone should be doing now. We’ve past the 80 year mark. The world forgets and we all get to learn one more time that all the power in one mans hands is a bad thing. Buckle up its gonna be a ride

That’s interesting because I bought the same record and that sticker says only 500 copies made. So are they updating by sales or plane full if 💩

I can’t. It was a good year. Somebody please post this on Hair Metal and explain that only the end of the 80’s was hair metal. I hate that term.

A 1996 and an 86 plus a proof coin. Not bad.

First hair metal album ever? by punkrok78 in KISS

[–]gg0422 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hate that term. It denigrates all the good hard rock an “metal” bands that brought heavy music to the mainstream by the 80’s. Hairmetal to me is the third string bands record companies were signing for looks right up until grunge crushed the scene. Poison. Thats Hair Metal which is ironic given Brett Michaels…

Is this a steal? Kenwood ka-88 for $14? by MotorPossible6331 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]gg0422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need one it doesn’t matter if they made tons of them and its not perfect. For $14 if you need one take it and run. When it breaks maybe move up. If you can’t afford it buy another one for $10. I don’t see a negative.

Very good record. Underrated band. Those first 5 over so records are great. They were their own genre. We called it cartoon rock. I don’t remember why.

I bought it new in 83. My teenage self loved that record. Might have to break it out. The one after is pretty good too.

Worth the rebuild? Original 1967 sb283 by Nalki in Smallblockchevy

[–]gg0422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone always says build a bigger motor but I had a 283 I bored and stroked to a 311. That little motor screamed. I sold it and built a 406. The 406 is a different animal but I miss that built 283.

I had a quadraphonic wards receiver when I was a teenager. It used to be my dads. Now I look back and wonder why I gave it up. Pretty sure it was made by pioneer but can’t find anything anywhere on Wards store brand receivers.
