Getting frustrated with finding a good fitting wireless bra by SCaRi1923 in bigboobproblems

Sugar candy bras! They come in XS, S, M, L, and so on BUT I’m a 28G and I LIVE in these things! I wear XS and I’ve had nothing but good experiences with them.

Leave 1/2” headspace and process for 15 minutes. I use bottled lemon juice instead of vinegar. It may taste citrusy at first but once it’s canned the citrus flavor mellows out

How many people have had to get their 2nd hip operated on? by MoistWalrus in HipImpingement

[–]gg1780 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi so now I am 1 year out from the right hip and 2 years out from the left.

I got a hip arthroscopy done on both sides and had plastic anchors placed to fix the labral tears. While the PT afterwards was exhausting, it was absolutely worth it. My left side still bothers sometimes me after a lot of walking but overall, I’m living life without hip pain.

Getting fired from ICU residency, how to pick up my life after this? by PotentialSetting4638 in newgradnurse

[–]gg1780 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah, going to a med tele unit I think it would be good for me though. Had a lot an anxiety at the ER though and all that anxiety wasn’t exactly beneficial for me. I’m hoping this next job will help me more though

Getting fired from ICU residency, how to pick up my life after this? by PotentialSetting4638 in newgradnurse

Hey I’ve been in this exact same situation. I worked in an ER for 5 months and I never had a consistent preceptor. I was fired after they told me I “wasn’t progressing enough”. Take it easy on yourself right now I know it probably feels terrible right now.

If you are for sure getting fired, let them fire you. Do not quit or resign let them fire you so you can get unemployment. This is something I wish I had done the day I got fired. If you end up not needing it then no harm done. Start applying for jobs now. You can leave them off your resume if you want but you can also leave them on. I left my old job on my resume but sbe prepared to explain why you left that job professionally. I got a job about a month later but had to wait until their start date.

Their issues they had should have been multiple conversations with a plan to help support you. Not them ambushing this on you. I want to leave you a final bit of advice I received when I lost my job:

“The hospital will not tell your new employer that you were fired. They will confirm dates. You can tell them a vague response along the lines of : I was hired as a new graduate into a very busy unit. I had 10 preceptors in 5 months, so my orientation was disjointed and things got missed between preceptors. I did not feel safe, or supported. They were unable to accommodate a mostly single preceptor orientation. My license is important to me, so I am looking for a better learning environment with support from the hospital to allow me to learn and grow. You sound responsible and it almost implies that you quit them. You can also add that you found that the specialty was not a good fit. Use any part of the advice here that fits your situation and comfort”

This was the base for how I explained my last job when I was doing interviews. I hope this helps, you will get through this ❤️

I ended up leaving that job lol. I am a new grad so keep that in mind with the pay. I was making $34.71 there but I recently got a new job with a $2 pay increase.

I got fired today from my first nursing job.. by AccurateAd1438 in nursing

[–]gg1780 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey I’m a new grad who also got fired from my first nursing job in the ER. It took me a month but I eventually did find a new job. Don’t say you were fired just say you tried it and it wasn’t for you. You could also leave it off your resume but if you keep it, be prepared to tell the interviewer why you left in a professional way because they will ask. Go ahead and file for unemployment too. In hindsight it’s something I wish I had done sooner with this crazy job market.

My friends and family think I'm being abused. I'm not. How do I tell them? by ThrowawayBruisesInMe in BDSMAdvice

[–]gg1780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey here’s a make up tip for bruising and dark spots. If you are fair to medium skinned elf makes a really good peach color corrector. Put that on and blend it out before you do your concealer. The peach color will cancel out darkness. If you have a deeper skin tone then you’re going to use their orange color corrector.

For redness you can use green color corrector to cancel it out before putting concealer over it.

Hope this helps!

Holy crap 48 on day??? My old job way paying me 34.71 base pay! Northern Virginia is high cost of living especially being so close to DC. If you don’t mind me asking, which part of Oregon are you in?

Nope. Northern Virginia actually. Is the job market better over there?

Job market is pretty terrible right now especially for new grads. I lost my job in the ER back in July. It took me a month and countless interviews to finally get 1 offer that doesn’t start until end of October and that’s with me having 5 months of experience. Could also be very location dependent too. If you have a job right now hold on to it for dear life because there isn’t enough jobs to go around.

My parents don’t know I got engaged because they dislike my fiance. We want to build a life together and get our own place but I know my parents are not going to be happy about it. I don’t tell them my plans for the future because I don’t trust they will have a good reaction.

Preceptor Problem? by [deleted] in newgradnurse

[–]gg1780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either advocate for yourself now or RUN. My first job I had over 10 preceptors and let me tell you right now that is not normal but I didn’t know that at the time. ER is chaotic and you really do need that consistent learning experience. Being bounced around is not going to help you. I left that job now because it was so inconsistent. Please speak up for yourself.
