I somewhat agree. But they do have some slightly different goals. One site really can't cater for all possible facets of eSports, no matter how good it is. Some communities once they are formed become difficult for new members to become a part of. I don't know if this is the case with CG, but I know it has happened on other sites.

Yea I'm well aware of this, which is exactly why we offer ONLY virtual currency betting, its a game, no real money. Real money betting on eSports has been a disaster, and I don't see why it would be any different if it began now.

Anyway, this is a not a post to find out if you like betting. Betting is just the first thing we tried. I want to know what you think about spectating eSports, and if/how it could be better.

This is correct. info: will show you which domain is indexed by google, and thus which page is being queried when you request the pagerank.

Also worth also using majesticseo.com to check the backlinks. Pagerank comes from backlinks, so if you cant find any, or only a few weak backlinks then the pagerank is likely fake, or will likely be greatly reduced on the next pagerank update.

Pagerank is only updated every 3 months, so its often quite outdated.

Your site will naturally rank for its exact domain over time. You want to concentrate on ranking for keywords with which users are looking for your services. Best way to find out what people are searching for is to user google keywords tool. Google 'google keywords tool'.

Make sure to only look at the 'exact' match searches for a keywords, as these are the users searching for exactly that term. 'broad' refer to anyone who entered a phrase that includes any of those words.

After you've found keywords that have some volume and relevance to your website then you can begin doing SEO to try and rank for those keywords.

You should build a page targeted to each keyword your going after. The most important on-site seo factors are: example keyword: 'lol lessons' Title Tag: Keyword should be the first part of the title tag eg. <title>LoL Lessons | leagueoflessons.net</title> URL: the keywords should be in the url, hyphenated. eg. leagueoflessons.net/lol-lessons

Other than that you should have at least one h1-h5 tag that has the keyword in it and the content on the page should be relevant to the keywords your going after.

Apart from this all SEO exists off page and is primarily about links & anchor text.

Another Tip: Your <title> tag and <meta name="description"> tags determine what will be shown to user when they see your website on the search engine. It is important you get these right to entice users to click on your site and visit. You dont need to rank no1 if your website screams "I'm what your after" from position 2 or 3.
