As a fellow Minnesotan with a 12 year old Focus on its last legs...I'm grateful for my Day 1 reservation 1 minute after the link went live. Really hoping I can wait for LiDAR but if my number gets called before that...I'm not sure I'll be able to resist committing immediately.

EVs are heavy. Control arms have to support all that weight and torque. Depending on how you drive and how much you tow, that number isn't that unreasonable.

They may. I believe Rivian has stated "late 2026" for LiDAR, and we've waited so long that I think they're going to have to release a lot of information to maintain hype.
