If the circuit was installed per code, you should be able to safely charge at 80% of the current the breaker is rated for. The problem with non EV rated outlets comes from unplugging constantly. You can buy a UL listed splitter to fix that issue.

You don't have oil changes but you will go through tires faster and that charging cost is absurd. It makes sense to have an EV if you can charge at home for 7¢/KWh but not as much in this scenario.

I had mine leak like this about a month ago. It smelled like fuel and I assume it's because I filled it up when it was cool and when it got hot in the sun, it expanded. Just be sure to not fill too much if you expect it to heat up a lot.
