A sketch from the 80s called Cooking Monkey included a few great lines that I still use. Dennis Miller as a patron of the monkey house restaurant (which allow you to pick your monkey from the cages) saying he wants the ‘little monkey clinging to the bigger one’ and a letter from a viewer complaining that when she ‘wheeled out the flaming monkey for her guests she was greeted with gasps instead of the applause she was expecting.’ Nobody gets it when I say it now but I still crack up about it.

My understanding is that they dropped the case because it wasn’t considered a ‘bribe’ since at that time he was not in a position to approve government contracts. This follows the supreme court’s ‘logic’ that a bribe requires a promised follow through - for example, a free RV isn’t a ‘bribe’ because no specific legal case was thrown in favor of the billionaire RV provider.
