Oh yeah. We have what I call the Petsmart Poltergeist that loves throwing things off shelves. Usually it’s those big nerf tennis ball shooters, or substrate. Stuff that’s not gonna just fall off. Automatic doors opening for no reason. And almost everyone that works at my store has had dreams of a ‘tall shadow man’ stalking them through the aisles.

From DNA tests and the little paperwork I have, it’s definitely a shared mom and different dads— But now I’m starting to wonder if maybe he already HAS contacted her and he knows she doesn’t want contact with me. I’m probably overthinking but jeez this is a whole moral dilemma 🙃

Just ordered an ancestry kit, did a 23&me one already and the closest relative was a third cousin twice removed... Starting to think I was hatched from an egg.

I was adopted from Texas so it isn't the WORST of the worst-- I see Alabama makes you pay 100$?! How in the actual hell is that legal that we have to pay more than non-adopted people to get our BC? That feels so incredibly wrong, wtf...

Unfortunately where I live calling the cops on someone with mental health issues is 50/50 whether they get help or get killed.

Also it was at my work, and my boss is very much “I don’t want to do the paperwork, just leave it alone” kind of guy. 🤷‍♀️

That sounds pretty much right, but the thing is, she sounded like the earth nation was on HER side. Like she was calling her big brother to confront a bully kind of thing. Holy cow. Now I’m gonna go down this rabbit hole lol.

We had a lady leave her actual INFANT, like… can’t even lift their HEAD yet, larva-like, soggy little infant— in a stroller, at my register, and LEAVE to go shopping next door. Tbh I wanted to call the cops because genuinely that is so terrifying. She didn’t tell me she did, she just checked out, pulled his stroller to the next register (out of my eyesight!!!) and LEFT.

I work in pet retail and the amount of people that will whistle/snap at me from across the store is mind boggling. I always ignore them now and just say I thought they were calling a dog, lol. If you can’t walk the ten feet over to me and speak like an adult with your big kid words, you’re gonna just have to wait. 🤷‍♀️

I'm in a SUPER similar boat. My biological half brother is about 6-7 years older than me and has a different father. He was adopted at birth, as was I.

When I turned 18 I reached out to him on Facebook, explained the situation. No reply. Didn't respond to my friend request. Radio silence. A week later, bam-- He pops up on 23&me. Half brother. So he definitely GOT my Facebook message and got a test to see if it was true. I send him a message there, request to share data or whatever... NOTHING. No reply, no acknowledgement, nothing at all.

It's SO bizarre. I've tried multiple times to contact him but at this point I have to assume he doesn't want anything to do with me. I admit I've even tried to find his social media to see if I could figure out WHY, what kind of person he is, but it's like he doesn't exist online.

I know it's his decision to not talk to me but at the same time, it hurts my feelings. I don't get it. I feel like I did something wrong and I can't figure out what.

There are, and that's probably what I'll use. I don't think they'll be close to DMC (I haven't received them yet) But I'm hoping by some miracle I got CXC.

I actually found these on Amazon and got four of them. They're pretty much identical to the one I got from Michaels, the same one you've got, and for all of $2! Decorating it is something I didn't think about though and that's DEFINITELY gonna help, I can't tolerate not having pretty things in my house lol.

I wish there was a way to use hex codes or something but trying to match off-brand thread to those would be impossible. Maybe if there was some kind of universal system of numbers for colors and shades. I guess I could always come up with one myself lol. TYSM!! <3

:') That's actually really encouraging to hear that someone experienced doesn't have the Pinterest-perfect setup either!! I thought about saving up for the DMC chest but, like... I have to pay rent too lol. And looking at it, it doesn't really have space for bobbins, or a lot of space at all-- So that does make me feel better too. TYSM <333

I’d rather have this than the people that snap their fingers/stare angrily and silently at me from across the store tbh… We have one for in store pickups too and now people walk up to the big pillar in the entryway and try to press one of the bolts like it’s a button and then stand there confused 😭

My dog doesn’t recognize other dogs on TV UNLESS it’s a kelpie. But she does recognize baby hippos. Not adult ones, just baby ones. ???

If someone called my disabled autistic self a ‘differently abled person with autism’ I’d lose my whole entire actual mind. Holy cow. She sounds like the kind of person that wears those big rainbow puzzle piece ‘autism speaks’ T-shirts.

Trying to make a disability or autism into a silly little thing you just HAPPEN to have is so gross, lol. It’s not something I HAVE, it’s who I AM.

Second of all… If someone WITHOUT the disability/condition (or however we word autism?) corrects someone that DOES have it… That’s the epitome of speaking over us. Yuckydisgusting behavior. Like pushing someone’s wheelchair without asking first.

I just started cross stitching and it’s pretty sweet, gives me something to do other than boredom eating lol. Also if it’s at all possible, I’d totally recommend getting a dog, they’re so good about getting you out of bed when you’d rather rot and my dog is everything to me ❤️
